Where in Houston? Just checked a store on the south east side of town and they had 16 people in line at 10:30 but the associates were saying they were only selling 12.
 
I was there at Wal Mart and they had 30ish units. The line was already full, so I didn't get one, but I saw the box. Man, I didn't realize how tiny it is. lol
 
Just beat the first star fox and discovered if you leave it on the game over screen for a while an alarm with the same at fox theme starts playing.

I love retro gaming!
 
Just got back from walmart and it was a huge success they had 27 I was 5th in line but they were all sold out as there was 27 people there was fun to hear people talk about growing up with the system and how excited they were to play this.
 
Walmart bumped me off to backorder status. Incompetent dipshits. I will hop by the Target first thing tomorrow and if they run out, oh well. I have a PAL SNES coming by the 13th anyways, I can wait to get an NTSC one as well.
 
Current status:

Amazon.co.uk order shipped, will arrive next week give or take.

Went to Target, they have 96 in stock supposedly. But, they won't sell them until 8 AM tomorrow and a line is already forming.

Gonna get up early and see if it's work taking time off work in the morning to go in. If it is, I can just take a half day and come in in the afternoon.

The two Wal-Mart stores in town have 60+ in stock but they both said they're already all spoken for.

I'm hoping to get a second because A) I still don't know which style I like more, B) a friend of mine does not have a flexible work schedule and wants one, and C) in case my UK order gets fucked up somehow in shipping.
 
So I just left the 24hr Walmart closest to me here in San Diego, maybe try to get a ticket a couple of hours before midnight.

But then I was told they already had something like that happen at 3pm.

Dafuq?!
 
So even though i got mine at walmart I noticed that there were about 10 units fewer than brickseek said. Also they had the cart with the boxes out when i first got there. They moved it to the stockroom for a while when they came back out there were fewer boxes. So I assume some employees pulled a few.

I truly feep bad for people that really wanted it but I have a feeling walmart bumped a lot of online orders to combat scalping. Wait who am I kidding...

Lets hope they were dumb enough to hand out tickets based on how many they got originslly before removing any. Fallout would be interesting.
 
Glad I got my order in at Best Buy. Hope it's ready for pickup tomorrow and there's no shenanigans.

Last time I ordered something through them in the mail was the Pokémon Red/Blue New 3DS which ended up getting lost or stolen. And of course, it being a limited edition item there was no way to replace it, and UPS marked it delivered so I had to play rope-a-dope with them for like two months before anyone would actually refund the dumb thing.

Edit: Just like that, got the email saying it's ready for pickup. Looking forward to going right after work tomorrow!
 
So finally played the SNES Mini

wow. Started playing SMW and then Star Fox to unlock Star Fox 2. Holy. Nostalgia overload.

Ordered these because holy fuck, the cables are so short. 12 ft extension cables.

My brother was happy about it and I set it up in the living room. Waiting for the second unit from BB to give to my other brother.

I will hunt down a 3rd unit for myself since the EU and JP units won't arrive until mid October and I won't be here for that.
 
Just got home from my local Walmart, in the next town over. They had 15 tonight and I was last in line, of 7 people, so they have 8 left. When the NES mini launched they had 6 and sold out at midnight. So they got 2.5 time as many this time. WV for the people wondering. None of you live here.....

Might have been a blessing in disguise I kept Bestbuy and not Walmart after all glad you got yours!
 
I'm noticing a lot of huge stock being talked about here. Is each store only getting one shipment or will they continue to get more for the foreseeable future? Cause if it's just one time deal, then shits gonna get ugly again lol.
 
Wow called my local walmart for the hell of it, and they told me they sold out already. WTF the two guys earlier today told me they wouldn't get them in stock till the morning. A tad bit salty.

Half the reason I bought it was because I stupidly bought into Sega hype and always regretted it. I’ve played emus over the years but this is Nintendo quality and will go great in my mancave.
