Walmart 8/22 preorder still preparing. Can't help but feel it'll be canceled. Last Time I will order anything from Walmart again.
 
Figured I was safe with amazon and walmart but looks like walmart is fucking us right now and amazon i guess that will come whenever. -_______________-

Likewise. Shame, because I would have gone to GameStop this morning to get one but I figured my Walmart order was safe at this point.
 
Well mine turned up. It looks great and the controllers feel fantastic. The graphics also look really clean. I was expecting it all to look a bit crappy. Im quite impressed. Proper save states too.

My is still saying Preparing as well. Has been for days. So I assume that's a bad sign for others in the same boat.

I've never ordered from Wal-Mart before this but the Amazon preorders going up in the morning forced my hand. Now I'm never preordering from this place again.

Yeah, I get it. Limited consoles. I don't blame them for not having enough. But cancelling twice in a row and then not holding preorders for more than a week past release? Absolutely incredible.

Definitely contacting support.

That's how I got the text message notice for the SNES Classic. Once you get the text (or hear about the Treasure Truck), you place an order and pick it up before end of the day.
 
Yeah, I learned my lesson with Wal-Mart earlier this year. I preordered the Bayonetta amiibo and they said it would get to me on release date. They didn't ship it out until the day before release and I got it a week later.

I just picked mine up from Best Buy in Burbank, CA. My cousin works here and told me they had 300 and were available for people all the way through 9AM.
 
If i secured an order through amazon treasure truck am i guaranteed one or will they give it to someone else? It says pick up between 12 and 8 and im at work.
 
Was able to pick one up at BestBuy, no line or anything. They were open before their regular 10am opening just to sell the systems. :D
 
so Super Metroid's item icons dont disapear from the map when you get them? Im drawing a blank and it gets confusing to know what you did and didnt pick up if they dont disappear.

Wow I can't believe it actually came thru. Last nights targets iOS app where you were able to order one for store pickup worked and they held it for me. Thank you so much wario64!
Can't wait to play this thing when I get home from work.

Going to cancel both Amazon and Walmart online preorders. What a load of crap they both pulled for everyone that got them on there.
 
Went to Gamestop at 8:40. I was the 10th person in line and thought 'cool, i'll probably get one'. 9:55 rolls around and the GS employee tells everyone they only have 9... Meanwhile, one of the employees arrives to the store with 2 other people that don't work there. Not saying they necessarily got one but I am pretty suspicious. I am damn salty missing out on it by 1 ticket.

No shit lol. Turns out it won't be with me until tomorrow (hopefully) and the customer service adviser who nigh-on guaranteed delivery today was just chatting crap. Ah well, at least I actually have a console... I think, anyway.
 
I love how Best Buy did it. Got there at 930 and got a ticket, number 16, and was told to pick it up before 1. I left and came at noon and grabbed the new Metroid as well. Really painless, easy experience.

I have an 8/25 order but no movement. A guy in my line at Walmart this morning had an 8/25 order that shipped today.

Stuck in processing purgatory.
 
Anyone with an 8bitdo SFC30 controller and retro receiver got them working with the SNES Mini? I’ve managed to get the controller pairs, but with the latest firmware on he receiver it didn’t recognise the X and Y buttons as being distinct from others and with the 1.05 beta 0 firmware someone on reddit recommended the buttons work but the d pad doesn’t now.
