SNES Mini Classic Thread | No preorder or shipping discussion here

Just started playing suoer Mario world and noticed that Mario character sometimes flickers (when he is on a moving platform for example ). Anybody having similar issues ?
 
I was getting nervous about my walmart.com preorder so over lunch I checked Toys R Us and Target to see if they had any (of course not), but Best Buy still had some hidden away. I almost didn't bother going there since I figured that would be the first place cleaned out, but thankfully I did.

Well, so I went to my target when they opened, there's like 40 people in line, brick seek says they have 75.
I ask an associate and he said they sold all 75 already. I walk passed the line, and no bullshit, both people at the registers are buying 2 each LMAO

Yea Reggie failed, unless they are producing more but what's to stop scalpers from doing the same shit? I cannot wait in line for 8 hours I work night shift. Whatever I guess I can live being more bitter than I already am lol

Yep. The first Walmart I went to last night had apparently already given out tickets for all of their inventory by Wednesday afternoon. The guy there said it wasn't supposed to happen that way and the tickets weren't supposed to be distributed until Thursday night. I'm assuming someone who works there just said "F it" and started giving them out to friends. If questioned I'm sure he/she was like "I didn't know..."

I managed to snag one anyway at another Walmart close to that one, but I was pretty irritated.

The only way to stop scalpers is to consistently meet demand, not meet demand once in a blue moon (or worse, pay lip service to meeting demand but don't actually come anywhere close to it).

These things will continue to happen so the bullshit will undoubtedly continue.

Oh I totally agree, but this is nintendo we are talking about. There are terrible when it comes to production and artificial shortages.

What really makes me mad is reggie saying there's gonna be plenty don't pay over 80$ lol. Maybe they will produce more I dunno.
 
I completely forgot I pre-ordered a UK unit until I saw the shipping notification a few minutes ago. It's in Bedfordshire Wikishikisham Dervendillydoo or something to that effect and won't be here for two more weeks :/

It's not like launch day is the only day you can get them. Production will continue into 2018. Reggie's comment about not needing to pay $80 is probably for the long term, not launch day.
 
So, are we expecting a decent wave of stock through the holidays? Or am i just going to have to set stock alerts and hope i get lucky? Won't be terribly upset if I dont get one, but it would really scratch my nostalgia itch.
 
My Nintendo UK delivery has still not shown up, maybe it's cos I live in Northern Ireland. Gutted, had my evening set aside for some nostalgic fun!

Uh they are producing these until next year. This is just launch day
 
Just want to confirm, if I placed an order at the Treasure Truck and it went through then all I have to do is show up during the time frame and i'll get mine?
 
Wow, Amazon booting their preorders to sell them off on a Treasure Truck--that's not cool. I don't need mine Day 1, but they sure as shit better not cancel my preorder after this stunt.

Didn't ship any (US) pre-orders, but their treasure trucks have plenty of stock.
Walmart shipped orders that were placed later, leaving earlier pre-orders in limbo/maybe backordered.

Production is continuing into 2018.There will be plenty of restocks.

Yea that's what I'm hoping. I really hope I can get one. I know being pissed does no good, I'm just so fixated on it lol. I'm glad most of you got one though, and yea they did do a better job then the nes fiasco, so points there I guess.

Looks like Nintendo managed to do a better job of getting stock out there this time. For once.

Amazon not honoring release day pre-orders (and shuffling them to the Treasure Truck) is pretty douchey though.

The Minneapolis treasure truck is already showing "Sold Out" as of 12:02 PM. Supposed to be available for sale starting at noon so they sold out in two minutes? Seems about right.

I feel bad for those of you getting back order and/or possible cancellation e-mails on release day.

That's about the worst type of bullshit you could receive on a day like today.
 
How does Treasure Truck work? I just signed up to get the Text Messages when things are available. Is that it? Do I just wait for them to text me?
 
Oh my god, the console here in México it is really limited i went to Sears and nada they only received one for sale, i run to gamers (biggest videogames chain here) and there were only 3 and guess what i was the third client YEAH i'm so happy.
