My store originally had 75, they sold 42 today and are saving the rest for the Sunday ad.

What is the advice for going then? They open at 8. Would 7 be good??

I had a chance for one tonight but I passed so my friend could give it to his nephews. I figured I could afford eBay if it comes to that.

mine did that including the no charge but the next day updated. got mine today original delivery was october 5 then changed to september 30 but delivered today.

I'm getting tired of checking my Walmart order obsessively. I wish it would either ship or get cancelled - I am getting to the point where I don't care which just lemme know so I can stop wondering.

Bloody hell. It just makes me more annoyed since I want to get a 2nd one, but it's to help get one for my best friend who's equally, if not a bit more excited to own one. I cannot wait to hear him talk about Super Mario RPG, one of the games he's never played but I know he'll love.

& they're right about the whole Raspberry Pi deal. I can't just "click" with using emulators because they feel off, especially since I never use my laptop for gaming. I want to play the game with an actual controller on my TV with a game console, be it the original cartridge or disc or via official port. Plus not everyone is tech savvy enough to know how to program a Raspberry Pi, let alone know that it exists. Yeah, I'll probably hack some games onto the SNES Classic, but it'll feel a little better being able to play it with the original controller on a TV.

At the very least I was able to get a pre-order that wasn't cancelled, but it's getting frustrating that Amazon still hasn't given us any update on our orders.

Got my pre-order today with people lining up before and after me, all getting the snes :D

This thing is great, and I'll get a lot of playtime out of it I'm sure :)
Don't like what I've seen of starfox 2 so far though, kind of a bummer.
Starfox 1 on the other hand, still fun as all hell.

So after jumping on here I started looking into the Treasure Truck after seeing Amazon was selling them on there and they were where I live in Nashville. After driving around for an hour trying to find it I found the secluded area they were at and got mine! So pumped!

Brickseek shows that there are a few still in stock at one local Walmart. Is there any way to access the page for the system online or maybe in the mobile app, for store pickup? It seems like the SNES Classic listing is just gone from their site.

Is anyway who got the Hori Fighting Commander wireless controller having any issues?

Got one from GameStop. Put in new AA alkaline batteries and plugged in the wireless receiver into the SNES Classic, and the "low battery" flashing red LED on the controller appears. A flashing red LED appears on the wireless receiver as well. No button inputs are recognized by the SNES Classic.

Took it back and exchanged for another one. Same issue. Tried a different brand of batteries, the store employee even helped me test both controllers...no luck. They only had three in stock and I didn't really wanna have to open all of them to try to find one that works.

I want this controller for the Classic and Wii VC games but when two different brand new ones give me the same "low battery" indicator and no connection, I have my doubts. I emailed HORI and will update if I hear anything.

Is this a widespread thing or do I just have bad luck?

There are some Walmart stores near me that show negative numbers (-41). Not sure how accurate Brickseek is, but I'm using it as another way to gauge if a store receives a shipment of items aside from calling.

Skeptical. Brickseek shows 27 units at a local Walmart that I know has to be bunk - I bet that location just hasn't updated their system or something with the latest inventory.

People here are scalping them on Craigslist and posting their actual phone numbers.

Meanwhile, I'm signing their phone numbers up for 'deals' and 2:30am wake up calls online :lol

I definitely need those extension cords for the controllers.

What’s the cheapest option with the fastest shipping? I might not be able to wait around for that $1 order if it’s over a month away.

Jesus, was Star Fox considered good at the time? This game feels borderline unplayable.

It was an instant classic and highly beloved.

Was much easier for us to acclimate then to the performance than it would be for newcomers today. Motivation to do so was far stronger when our collective jaws were on the floor, it was a visual experience unlike what most households had ever witnessed. Now it’s merely abject curiosity forcing you to condition to sub teen fps.

Nobody really chatted in our line. Everyone just kept to themselves. However, when we got inside the store to purchase, when people were walking out they had big smiles and sounded excited. Some people with their friends were taking pictures with it. There also weren't any groans when the lady came out to tell people it was one per person. They actually cheered a little.

Anyway, finally got to play it and I was loving every moment! Felt like a kid again. Super Mario World was the first video game I ever played, so I went that route again. Then I played some Star Fox to unlock 2. Then I played a little Kirby and Street Fighter. Is there a thread of like, cheats/codes for the games?

I see all these ‘My Walmart order was shipped’, but mine still says Preparing Order.

I hear ya man. I'm in 8/25 order too so apparently in the "safe" group but still no sign of shipping.

Anyone who preordered from Amazon US, did you do that Game trust link at like 3am? Is the in the description still? Just wondering.

So, my Hori Fighting Commander works fine. 2ft, 5ft and like 20ft away. SF2T is particular about commands though, maybe that’s what is going on?

Got mine from the NYC Treasure Truck. What an enjoyable experience. Tons of employees, all friendly. Fun theming, and a lot of bubbles. Thanks Amazon!

so it sounds like pretty much everyone who wanted one got one?
Amazon pre-orders still haven't shipped, let alone been updated with a shipping date.

It still says:

"Nintendo Digital Downloads/Game Trust Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition
Sold by: Amazon.com LLC"

I made the pre-order at about 4:50 a.m. Eastern & it still says "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date."

I said "screw it" & am sending an email to Amazon to let them know how frustrating this has been when other outlets have been fulfilling orders & the fact Amazon seems to have the item considering the Treasure Trucks.

I don't think I've ever played anything as simultaneously rage-inducing/mind-blowingly awesome as Contra 3. Just...man. Man.

Also Mega Man X is even more awesome than I remember it being.

I have the 8Bitdo NES Receiver and it needs a firmware update to work on the SNES Classic :(

It's coming soon, but it's such a bummer i can't use it on the machine now. The controller that came in the box has way too small of a cable.

As someone who has minimal nostalgia for the SNES and NES. The NES went into storage almost immediately but this. This console has legitimately good games. Not just nostalgic games or important games. Good games.

Yeah the snes library is timeless and just rock fucking solid, unlike a lot of systems that only have a handful of titles that hold up

Got a thinkgeek order last night. And got lucky with a treause truck today. So is Nintendo staying true to their word about supply for this?

Thanks mine too. Just wondering because I logged into Amazon on my phone and right saw a search for the other SNES Classic link and I was hoping I didn't screw up, glad I didn't.

But yeah, I'm emailing that dude Jeff about it right now for this. Definitely.

Sheesh this things even smaller then I imagined! Its a tiny baby SNES!

Played alil over an hour in Secret of Mana which is a fun game still! Grinding on those Green Drop baddies is as worthwhile as ever! But boy do I hope the remake fixes/changes the camera!

Just tried the SNES Classic and it is pretty damn perfect. Booting up Star Fox brought back memories of the Super FX chip and how it was so advanced at the time. Also, the gameplay still holds up to this day.

I really don't remember Contra IV being this difficult and didn't know how I beat it back in the day haha.

Really happy with how this turned out. And Nintendo really did pull through at launch this time. Been reading stories all day about how Target had enough for most customers this morning.

Fucking wow. I just checked my Walmart by my house where I got lucky and got my Switch at to see if they got the SNES Classic and the guy said at electronics section section said people have been asking all day.

They never even got any. He said they may get some tomorrow causd a truck is coming in tonight and there's a ton of walmarts in the same situation. Like wow man, smh.

A decent version of Yoshi’s Island has me over the fucking moon. So good. This thing is a total steal, unlike the NES Classic.

Anyone try the 8bitdo wireless SNES pad to see if it works?

It does but it has A and B for the NES pad mapped to all of the SNES buttons (including the shoulder buttons). The receiver needs an update for it to work properly. One's coming "soon" according to 8bitdo.

I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to this thread informing me of Amazon Instant Pickup, as I found out I'm near one of 6 locations in the US, with one in Maryland.

I was able to use the phone app to buy it. Went to the Amazon Pick Up location and there were machines to scan a bar code for my order, a locker opened up to the right of me and there was that SNES Mini....

Patiently waiting for the ability to add games to this so i can get Chrono Trigger and Turtles in Time.

You and me both! Also Batman Returns, Live Alive and Batman and Robin all games that have no chance of ever being ported due to licensing.

Glad to hear...love the game but pretty much any emulated version I've tried over the years has been screwed up in some way either due to slowdown or glitches.
