I just realized that I can use my TV's USB port to power it instead of using one of my power socket on my already overfilled powerbar. This is great
Tried to use the USB ports from the Switch, didn't worked tho. :/

If you use save states, or a save state it thinks of it as a different cart(easiest way I can think of putting it).
So youd have to load that cart(state) in order to see the saves on it, or stick to the original type and not use save states.
What are those "My Game Play Demo" and "Classic Demo" settings for?
Also, I totally get the whole retro effect and everything but I wish the main menu was a bit more higher res... Super blown out pixelart on a 50" tv looks kinda weird unlike in the games where it looks great.
So can I ignore the state, reload from save in-game and I should be fine? Or should I load up the state and never use in-game saving again? If you use save states, or a save state it thinks of it as a different cart(easiest way I can think of putting it).

When you leave it idle, classic demo will basically play attract screens of the game until you take over
My gameplay is also that but it's the 40 second rewinds of your save States instead of the default
If you have them both on, it cycles between so you aren't seeing the exact same each time the game comes up

This seems correct, Im not in front of mine to test, but sounds right. So can I ignore the state, reload from save in-game and I should be fine? Or should I load up the state and never use in-game saving again?
Cool, thank you! This seems correct, Im not in front of mine to test, but sounds right.
Yup. It's what I'm using.
Is it really necessary to unplug the power when not in use?
Huh, why does this happen? Saved after legit saving yesterday night on ff3, no warning message though.
That's what the instructions tell you to doWhy would it be?

Hahaha all hardware instruction manuals pretty much say that to legally shield themselves. Like say in the event a huge power surge from non-conform electrical wiring that is 50+ years old or something would fry your device.
I've never unplugged *anything* that is not in use ever, and never had any problems.

I hope they find a message in the coding like they did with the NES Classic.
Enjoy this Mini,
Disconnect from the present, and
Go back to the nineties.

So god damn happy. The snes has so many classics, cannot wait to get these on there.
Did those rumors about Target getting more in today turn out to be true? I kept checking Brickseek last night to see of any of the local Target stores stock got updated, but never saw anything.
They did

Wonder if the ROM data on the SNES mini are like the Wii where they split them up.
Nah, it's a single file, but has a weird new 48 bytes of information before the usual header. That being incorrect was stopping games loading, but Cluster figured out those 48 bytes.
Theres no consensus because its on a per game basis. Some developers took the 4:3 stretching into account for their graphics so they look wrong in PP (super Metroid; actually not sure what else), whereas other games look much better (to me) in PP. Im using pixel perfect unless something looks off to me
So happy. I need NBA Jam, Sim City, and Smash TV.

That is interesting. So Nintendo did try a little trick to make it harder to put your own games on the mini. If there are no limits then I really need to find a cart dumper. Not going to go crazy or anything but I have some carts I'd love to have on the mini.
...and maybe a little Desert Strike and Lagoon while we're at it.... and The Lion King, Mickey Mania, and Earthworm Jim.

The games are holding up so much better than the games on the NES Mini. Playing Mario World and Super Metroid now, and both are still great fun. My last time with SMW was on the GBA 15 years ago, and Super Metroid I haven't even played before.
And then there are still several other titles I really want to play.
Uh Chrono Trigger? Lol
