Destiny 2 |OT2| Leviathan Wakes (Spoiler Tag ALL Raid Discussion)

Anyone need help with the Nightfall? I have some free time today & would love to run some lower level people through it one at a time. No mic needed & your PL doesn't matter. We can also do it with +5 minutes left if anyone needs to finish the Rat King quest.

Only thing that wouldn't transfer would be if he had some pre-order goodies via a psn code he redeemed, everything else would be fine
 
Why can't I buy the winners offering from FWC?
The are no current faction activities so I guessed it was over but I can't still buy anything. I have participated in the rallies.

Also, why can't I do trials of the nine? It says not enough players which seems very strange for such a popular game.
 
I've been grinding IO to try and get the Hunter set since it has recovery. Two weeks and I still haven't even seen the chest piece. Come on Bungie, throw me a bone!

Faction rally ends on Monday night, the winner's weapon will be available starting on Tuesday until the next weekly reset.

For Trials, you need to go in with a full 4-person premade team.
 
So can someone explain the matchmaking please.

I play PvP a bit more often. I tend to do a little better than most of my friends. When they go into PvP alone or without me, they usually win or get paired with normal players. But when playing with me, we run into organized navy seals all the fucking time.

Am I ruining the experience for them?

Reset is 5:00AM EST every Tuesday morning. Basically just think of Tuesday as "reset day", there will be a new Flashpoint, Call to Arms, Nightfall, Raid checkpoints will reset, Xur and Trials will be gone until the weekend, etc.

In competitive and to a lesser extent quickplay, yes.

More than likely, yes. It's partially matching you based off the highest skilled player on top of connection.
 
So you guys keep multiple copies of Energy weapons in your vault-one for each element? I was going to do so but my vault space is filling up.

I don't

1) You can keep mods to swap around at will, especially in late endgame when you are just stockpiling stuff
2) I like to keep different guns I like that fill similar roles at different elements as a reason to use them for different content or when a burn comes up

Hmmm ok. I’ll have to go through my vault now and make some decisions.

Also-when are you going to start doing Thursday newbie raids?
 
I'm watching the Destiny Community Podcast and they have some pretty great ideas regarding the mod system.

Keep the mod slot we have now for the mods we have now. Add mobility/recovery/resilience mods so that you can wear any armor set you like the look of. Turn certain perks into mods and allow them to be equipped to a weapon.

This makes it way more interesting, doesn't go back to RNG drops, and allows you to improve a shit weapon.

ESports and competitive took focus over actual fun. 6v6 was funner for me than 4v4. Using my super 3-4 times a match was funner for me than using it once. But whatever, Bungie's obsession with constantly balancing, tweaking nerfing and making this game competitive has turned me off so much.

Not every game has to turn 100% competitive.

Oh gentle Saint. I need my rat king, please guide me but can't play right now. How about tomorrow?
 
Leveling my alt right now and while the end game gun designs are cool I gotta say... There's something nice about have a super barebone human looking weapon... Like my main auto rifle right now looks like modified AK.
 
Anyone starting up a fresh raid soon and willing to take someone who hasn't had a lot of experience with some of the encounters?

I ran into that playing through the campaign on my hunter alt yesterday. I ended up just farming public events on Titan until I was 15 or 16 so I didn't have to deal with it again for Io.
 
I have this auto rifle that has a hella huge clip, so I just keep firing and firing and never reload while the guy on the other end has to reload at least once, so I win.

And the suppressing fire potential is just awesome. Some donk is around the corner, so I keep firing while we cap the point, and surely, SURELY I'm almost out, but nooooo I just keep bullet-hosing until we're done, and only then do I reload and do it all again. I've killed four people while never letting off the trigger at one point. This thing... it is the best thing. And it's only a Legendary.
