Trump: Lone wolf attacks the peaceful concert goers in Las Vegas. Terrorist? No, he was White!

Trump is gonna read emotionless from a script, you gonna like it, he will continue to deregulate access to guns, will cut fundings for mental health programs and media will stop paying attention.

Rinse and repeat, every issue follows the same pattern.

Anyone got a picture of the hotel after the attack? I can't see any blown out windows or anything like that. Was he on the roof?

There aren't cops all over the place all the time. It sucks for sure.

I am very prepared. I have been trained very well. The picture basically means I'm holding onto my rights, and the government isn't taking them from me.

Read my posts for goodness sake. I'm not freakin' saying that I was at the concert with my 45 acp, and would have just charged the guy 1200 yards away, 32 stories up and taken him out. ffs.

Yeah, you don't know me at all.

Ugh. Stop. I never said that at all lol. Read ALL my replies before saying stuff like this. Let's leave it at that.

I do have one in my truck.

..............break...........

Hopefully they are able to find a motive and shed some light on why this man did this.

It's not clear what point you think you're making. Your handgun would've been completely useless in this situation in every possible way.

If you wanted to be 'prepared' for something consider bringing water and bandages with you wherever you go instead

Was he a Vietnam war vet? This is the only possible thing I can think of to mess someone up so much that some random retiree with no criminal history after 6 decades just go off and butcher a crowd with full-auto weapons.

This wouldn't surprise me. I recently had a confrontation with a Vietnam vet. He was a guy that lived next to my work. I see him almost every week going for a walk. Always said hello and seemed friendly. Then one day he COMPLETELY snapped and went off on me, because he couldn't see my works U.S. flag in front of the building. Started yelling at me, told me I wasn't a real American and that he fought for my freedom. I finally had enough and politely told him to fuck off or I would call the police. Looking back on it, that was a very bad move on my part. People with mental issues are no fucking joke.

Oh wow just found out a girl in my office was there and she's apparently ok but her friend was wounded and was in surgery

Best of luck to the friend's recovery. Our close friend escaped the gunfire, I'm still in shock. Thoughts to the families of the dead and wounded.

Fuck guns and fuck trump.

You people that can't shut up about Trump for 2 seconds are insufferable.

He is our leader and president, He hasn't really spoken publicly about mass shootings and gun control since he has taken office (that I know of). Really interested to see what happens here in about 10 minutes.

Anyone who had a gun in the crowd in this situation surely would have made things much worse.

His only move would be an executive order but with Republicans in power would have immediately put impeachment on the table.

I'm not knocking the guy's achievements outside of this area, and let's face it, he was on a different planet to your current president, but he managed to also bring in legislation that eased restrictions on other areas of gun control, if I recall correctly when he was up for re-election, yet only offered anything resembling tightening them with his support for the Brady campaign during his final year, when he was able to politically.

As much as we all dislike Donald Trump, Donald Trump is not going to say terrorist because this is not classified as a terrorist attack. So anyone waiting 15 minutes thinking he might/should/etc are setting yourselves up for automatic disappointment.

Unless the police/FBI/intelligence services have uncovered a motive prior to him speaking.

The rest of the speech? Sure, prepare for mediocrity/the worst, but this is not classed as a terror attack because as of yet there isn't a motive which would align it as being a terrorist attack.

I honestly don't give a shit. Quit trying to get me to feel sorry for these victims when nothing is ever done.

Yea, it's tragic. I do feel sorry for them...But it means nothing and one side never wants to talk about it. I'm getting tired of having to feel sad for victims when we could be stopping people from being victims to begin with.

Trump, before he went nuts with Birther conspiracies, was actually for sensible gun control. He went hard right when running for Prez, though.

Whose leader is he? He sure ain't mine. Those words never come out of my mouth.

This is not the kind of news one expects to wake up to on a Monday morning. What the fuck is wrong? Approving far more severe gun control shouldn't be up to vote, it should be implemented right fucking away! I'll never understand the love many Americans have for their guns, why do you need so many of them? Why are you so afraid of them being taken away from you or them becoming harder to get? Fucking hell, get your shit together.

It's kind of gross to see morning news interviewing people who were there. Like one dude was on who was clearly about to have a breakdown talking about people dying in his arms.

I just watched this also, honestly don't feel like they should be interviewing people who're literally minutes/hours outside of harrowing scenes. Poor guy had lost a friend and managed to help save another friend who'd been shot 3 times.

Idiots on Periscope kept popping up saying 'why is he smiling' clearly not understanding what this guy has just been through and how people deal with things in different ways. The man was evidently struggling to talk and fighting having a complete breakdown live on TV, smiling was no doubt his way of resisting the urge to cry.

I can't even imagine being in the middle of this with absolutely no clue about what's going on. One minute enjoying a concert having a good time and the next, a lot of gunfire and people dropping and running and yelling and mass chaos. Your very first instinct would possibly be the noise was part of the show. Then realizing it isn't.

Yeah, there are countless vets out there repressing their pain and strife ---- if it does turn out that he was a Vietnam war vet, then there is a serious risk of the discussion being turned away from gun control and strictly towards treatment & care for war vets...........I would not be surprised if this hijacking of the narrative & discussion on future prevention of such events is already in the works by the NRA et al

If I was there, I would have reacted pretty much in the same way the other law enforcement did.

That's ridiculous. What attitude? That I'm prepared to deal with situations?
How do you stop being IDed as a man with a gun during an active shooter situation and getting shot by the active duty cops?

And no offense, while I'm sure that you were trained well, I somehow don't see you doing much good with a pistol against a rifle armed shooter who is at least a few hundred yards away and 32 stories up.

Trump speech bingo

"Police did an excellent job"

"We must come together. Las Vegas needs me. As such, I won't be going to Puerto Rico at all anymore, gotta go to Vegas instead"

"Let's not jump to conclusions and speculate about the shooter, let the FBI do their job" (because he's white, if he'd been linked to a group he'd be tweeting about invading somewhere by now)

"I find it disgusting people like Killary are already politicizing this and talking about the NRA / potential gun control. Is there no tragedy she won't exploit"

"As a mark of respect, I take back my dedication this weekend. That golfing trophy is purely for the LV people"

"We must be vigilant and report any people trying to clamp down on gun ownership. We remain the land of the free. Our Second Amendment rights should not be a casualty"
