Not seen any official reports but it looks like 4-5 football pitches away from the aerial photo and he's high up shooting at 22000 people. Also with this amount of weapons he's probably done a bit of practice even though his brother says he wasn't a gun guy.
Perhaps this has something to do with his father and being psychopathic. Would not surprise me to learn he's been thinking about it for a while.

Out of curiosity, I checked the definition of a terrorist act through google.

Again, this is why it is infuriating that we don't have a motive since this could have just been a madman just shooting people at random. If this was indeed a terrorist act, there would have been a motive or a message; something to which that hasn't been found as of yet or doesn't exist at all and it was killing for the sake of killing. If we do find that motive and if it was based on sending a message before taking his life, then it can be ruled as a terrorist act then.

Even if we want to squabble over the dictionarys definition versus Nevadas state definition of the word terrorism, I think the sad fact is that if this shooter happened to be anything but white, and maybe a Muslim, the President wouldnt have hesitated to use the word terrorism in his statements. The label of terrorist has been flung around so casually in the past 15 years that lots of people have been conditioned to read it a very certain way.
That's what I figured. He went there with a plan to end his life.
I wonder if he had some bad recent medical diagnosis, and he decided to take as many people with him instead of just die.
