Nioh coming to Steam on November 7, Nioh Complete for PS4 same day

How are so many people here unaware of this copypasta? I swear it's one of the most common ones on GAF, and never tricks people in threads anymore.

Yep. I was thinking the same.

I mean, I get being a bit out of the loop, but this has to be the oldest and most overused copy-pasta on this forum at this point.

"The PC version will include two visual presentation modes: Action Mode, which aims for a stable 60 fps frame rate, and Movie Mode, a “cinematic” option with a 4K display resolution. Koei Tecmo's note to press suggests you can't deviate from either of these two modes, no matter how powerful your PC."

So it seems it's a direct console port with no extra graphical options. You have to choose between 4k and 60 but not both? Uh.....well um....I will be skipping this.

It's still worth it. This game is not about graphics.

I know its really earlyand the accuracy of these numbers is questionable, but it makes me sad Blue Reflection is doing so poorly, especially when the 720p news wasn't true in the end.. know I shouldn't expect it to get anywhere close to what Nioh probably will, but this is still really poor sales wise.
Nearly every KT game 'bombs' on Steam (they'll probably still make some money since their budget is likely just a banana) and it's honestly their own fault. High prices, barely any good discounts, majorly bad ports, barely any marketing. A winning combination.

Holy crap.. guess that could've been part a deal as well. But I'm pretty sure there are ways around this..

Nioh is gonna sell really well I think. It's just a very good and appealing game, kind of like Nier, which coincidentally was a poor port.

KT wishes their ports were as good as Nier.
That kind of hurts a little to write.

But really, while I like making fun of KT, I don't have an opinion either way atm. There is little point in trying to figure out a KT port's quality before it actually comes out.

I wanted a PC version a long time ago. With all this DLC I have gotten a bit burned out to start everything over again but I would love to play this game at a higher resolution with more detail.

Very odd to hear them announce that you can only change two settings which makes little sense. It is unfortunate that Tecmo still to this day makes unoptimized ports.

Glad other people can play this. It deserves a little more attention and falls into its own category aside from simply being a Dark Souls clone.

I am perfectly happy with the PS4 release and probably won't double dip though. As others have said, I can see this being pretty popular on Steam if the port isn't bad.

This probably won't be difficult to mod out but yeah...

Wow, have a PS4 but never got around to this. But now maybe i'll play it on my new R7/1080ti setup i'm going to finish building today.

Durante pls

looks like 60fps is going to be a cap? Not to mention action mode sounds like its going to intentionally have visuals turned down. So no 4k at 60 fps? How about 1440p at 60 fps?

was rewatching Karak's old review and he said that apart from "Movie mode" and "action mode" there is middle ground Variable mode that is mess for console but imo could be The One for steam version

Can you play a game like Nioh with KB&M? Or plug in the controller?

Why would you do this to yourself, Deku Tree? Nioh was designed to be played with a controller. I do want to see silly playthroughs of this using steering wheels/DDR pads/etc...

I play souls and games like it (eg the surge) with Kbm just because the camera controls are 1000x better and they're fine.

Don't know why they wouldn't have controller support for pad warriors though.

Ha and I was about to upgrade to a PS4 Pro for this game but not anymore. There are way too many games coming out that I want to play but don't have enough time for 😣
