How odd.

Two that were in Long Island City yesterday for some reason turned around and are in New Jersey today at a FedEx facility, meanwhile the one that shipped from Target a day later is sitting at my local post office.
 
Mine arrived today, I’ve been sick all weekend and I’m still running a bit of a fever so I couldn’t really commit to any games but I was pretty happy with the experience.

I’m pleasantly surprised by how well this holds up on my 4K set, although the crt filter is underwhelming as I’m able to get better results via Retroarch on my cfw ps3.

I love scanlines, just wish we had more clear CRT scanline filter. But I much prefer the CRT look than the pixel perfect one
 
Got mine from Amazon DE today. Love it, playing through Super Mario RPG for the first time, and going to let my better half go through FF6 when she gets around.
 
In the 16-bit days I only had a Mega Drive (so did all of my friends), so I had no contact with the SNES when it was current - since then I have played some SNES gems, but not many. I'm currently enjoying SMW - this time I'll finally finish it! - and looking forward to all the others I have yet to play (Super Metroid, EarthBound, Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, etc). No nostalgia here, just excitement with great games that have stood the test of time.

...it also doesn't hurt how cute the console looks.

I had problems syncing mine initially, but I'm not finding any issues with it otherwise.

I mainly just got it for when I get Genesis emulation happening on it, only way I'll get decent 6-button experience on the thing.

Oh, and for when I put the MK games on there, too.

For me it's about playing games. I only have a wii U, and not much else due. The snes mini is a huge collection of games I can play.
 
amazon.co.uk order to the US has cleared customs and is in NYC. Even though it says Estimated next Friday i imagine it'll arrive sometime in the next few days.

Don't fret, it's really well hidden. Spoilers for how to find the two-player mode:

In 5-4, there's a door directly at the beginning of the level to the left. Go through it and you see a chomp on a chain. You have to defeat it, which only works by using either a POW or a question mark cloud-item. Then another door will appear with an infobox in it, which tells you the key combination you have to use on the level select screen.

Try the iparcel site. It should give you the ups tracking number after it clears customs and putting that into the ups site will give you the real delivery date.

Huh, never knew that....then again, by this point all my friends were past gaming.
 
Walmart order finally shipped (8/25 order) so I cancelled my Amazon order. Out of everyone taking preorders, I really expected Amazon to the the one to follow through, not Walmart.
 
Updated delivery from my Walmart Order, Thursday but it's in FedEx's possession now so at least I know it's on it's way.

I'm really excited for this. My aunt gave me her NES when I was young so I actually played that quite a bit. I never really got to experience the SNES besides a little at friend's houses as I pretty much went straight to the N64.

Got my Amazon UK order yesterday. Loved playing some classics. My Walmart US order comes in tomorrow. Then I'll trade it to my buddy for a NES classic. Good times.

Almost stopped by Walmart on the way home yesterday and decided to keep moving at the last second. They most likely wouldn't have had any anyway.

Part of me hopes I never run into an SNES mini because I would be compelled to pick it up even though I don't really need it, especially for $80.

But man is it neat looking and would be a nice display on my desk.

Still nothing? My unit that shipped yesterday got legit Fedex tracking info as of this morning (showing last scan in IN).

I wouldn't be super worried - I work for a company that does a lot of UPS shipping and it's not uncommon for an item to get "lost" for a day or two after the UPS pickup and then get scanned and go on its merry way with a slight delay. I doubt Fedex is much different.
 
Goddamn.

Loving it but missing DKC2/3, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct + Kirby's Ghost Trap.

Seiken Densetsu 3 (English) + Star Ocean (to a lesser extent) would just round this thing out perfectly. Loving the SNES controller in my hands again. <3

3 favourites are definitely Yoshi's Island, Earthbound and Super Metroid.
 
Playing through Super Metroid and having a blast.

Excited to play earthbound, super Mario RPG, secret of mana with a proper controller too since the carts cost as much as this package

Bingo. I opened it, smiled, set it up, and just let the system run previews of the games while I cooked breakfast for the kiddos on Saturday morning.

My son (who turns 8 today), got some eShop gift cards from some relatives. He went to his 3DS, made a list of games that he liked in the eShop, and the top two, undisputed, were Super Metroid and Earthbound. It was a direct result of me letting him play them on the mini.

My son is playing Super Metroid and absolutely adores it.

God, I lucked out.
