This weekend's trials map for Countdown was good. The layout of the map gives some nice engagement options but visualy the map is awful for finding enemies, so much gold and foliage shit some times i was staring someone in the face without realizing it was an enemy. Seems like next trials weekend is gonna be survival unfortunately, ugh.

This game was so broken for me today, it's fascinating.
First the game kept crashing while loading the tower. Then I got dumped in an instance with no NPCs, reloaded the instance through fast travel which made all the NPCs and players appear... but now the camera was following some random dude instead of my character.

Is this what happens when they miss the Monday maintenance?

Nah, those are just regular everyday bugs the game had since release.

Yeah, but trying to get the square icon to actually pop up on scannable items is annoying. They should make the items glow or something. I hate walking around rooms like a drunk fool trying to find that 1 item,....

If you’re near a scannable, the ghost icon appears on the screen.

If you pull up your ghost, it’ll cause the scannable object to glow or something

Hold your Ghost up, he'll be looking at the scannable item.

The ghost icon flashes if a scannable item is nearby. When nearby pull out your ghost it will face its direction.
That nod isn't really subtle

Your ghost follows them. It took me ages to figure that out, but now I never miss them.

For all it's current flaws, D2 is still a game I look forward to playing in my free time. The most current flaw is, freaking maintenance on my day off and I just got Skyburners Oath. I wanna incinerate some more cabal Bungie lol.

I almost loaded up D1 but went ahead and turned off the PS4. Think I'll order a pizza and just make it a chill movie day...until maintenance is over.

Thats shit I haven't had any dupes yet. I've been quite lucky actually, was really wanting Sweet Business then did the EDZ milestone earlier and boom got that from Cayde. The RNG gods must know it's my wedding tomorrow.

so to get from 266 to anything higher I'm pretty much stuck doing milestones and praying to RNGesus for good engrams? I'm I going to be a detriment in a nightfall at 266?

Yes, milestones and exotic quests are the only realistic way to get equipment that boosts your power level, if all your items are already of similar power level. You can get exotic/modded items from good luck with regular drops, but the mods don't really help (they make you stronger, but don't affect drop/reward item levels). If you're putting in 40-hour weeks of Destiny, then farming exotics and infusing them into legendaries can very slowly raise your PL.

What sensible people do is get a milestone or two, which will drop stuff at about +10 power level, boosting your overall power level by a couple of points.
This will raise your regular drops to be a couple of points higher, so getting regular drops from any activity for the other areas of equipment will get you another couple of points of PL.
Rinse and repeat.

Your milestone-to-other-stuff ratio should depend on how many hours your putting in.
Just try to get all your milestones done, but spread them out over the week. Whenever regular drops stop helping, collect another milestone.

Alright I'm stumped. I hit 265 and like every guide I've read, I proceeded to turn in all my shit, tokens, marks, planetary doodads, etc. equipping better stuff as I went along and ended at... 266. WTF?

On the bright side I have a shitload of legendary shards (over 100). Did I do something wrong? I haven't run the Nightfall (last week or this one) since I wanted to be at least 270-280 so I'd feel like I could contribute. Is it just a slow grind to push my gear score up now?

Also if any XBone clans need another member I'm available. My brother and I play pretty much daily.

be glad you got a one point increase because that shouldnt have happened.

go do exotic quests, flashpoint, nightfall and crucible and you should get to 275.

Play of the game is the easier one to use.

We all tried burning it down, but it just kept saying he was immune. We even tried moving off the platform, still wouldn’t let us damage him. Then he fired it off and we wiped. Glitch? Anyone else had this happen? We ended up beating him a few tries later without issue.

That's what really gets me. Fighting lion is now my highest power weapon and I don't have anything to infuse it into and I'm definitely not using over sunshot or half the legendary weapons that outclass it.

It's the Crucible one and yeah it's surprisingly good, proximity grenades is a really good perk for GL. The Exotic Prospector is good too, but only in PvE.

Yup! It works incredibly quickly. It seems almost instant at times.
