Yes. Start with the MIDA quest from Devrim on Earth as it's the easier. Start saving blue scout rifles you find in the vault.

At your level you are ready to do the Nightfall (though this week's isn't particularly easy so you will want at least one knowledgeable member on your fireteam before trying it), and at least your weekly Castellum, even if not any more of the raid. But the exotic quests will help the most. One of them requires a fast NF completion, but the other two are pretty quick and easy.

Agreed with everything you said. I'd even go as far as to say it's probably the most boring PVP game I've ever played. I honestly had more fun doing the loot cave in D1.

All games are stomps yet mercy rule never pops. Even when I'm on the team stomping I never feel any joy or satisfaction. I don't even see how they could fix it either without altering the whole game to a huge degree. I think I'll just retire from PVP.

As someone who has Twitch on a lot in the background on the TV. This isn't some time and place thing. D1 was almost always in or around the top 10 at any given time.

D2 is almost out of the top 25 right now.

There are a bunch of missions around the mid point of the campaign that I really enjoyed and want to play again, but I don't want to fire up an alt to do so. Removing the option to replay them entirely (outside of the three weekly missions) feels arbitrary and weirdly restrictive. I've always enjoyed running Bungie's campaign missions. They built this huge campaign but we can't revisit it if we want. It's a first for a Bungie game.

So I was at 304 at the start of this reset, missing only a 305 Leg piece.

Here is what happened:

- Flashpoint - Exotic helmet - Weapon
- Raid - Bond, Weapon and Helmet.
- Crucible all to Arms - Bond, Weapon
- Weekly Clan Engram - Guantlet, Weapon
- Two Free Clan Engrams - Chest and Weapon.
- ONE EXOTIC Drop during all this playtime from a Crucible match. 304 Leg Piece...... I wanted to scream. Why are these rare exotic engrams dropping at my light level?

Only Nightfall left for the week and two Free Clan Engrams. This is classic Destiny. I remember being forever 29 for three months in Vanilla Destiny. Then Forever 334 for over three weeks after the April Update. And 399 for another three LONG weeks in the ROI update especially because it was so easy to level up, i kept playing all week to try and get those last ghost and artifacts which were later patched to drop in the Forge.

Worst luck ever.

I'm actually not too down on it and I don't mind running through my Call to Arms milestone weekly. Some of my dislike for it might just be me getting older and my reaction times getting slower, however...

I just have a couple complaints with PvP

- map size isn't commensurate with a 4v4 format. I ran around a map for over a minute or two without an enemy encounter Tuesday night
- Spawns are wildly inconsistent and I still get killed within seconds spawning sometimes
- Just happened for the first time the other night, but that full-auto Mida pissed me off.

That does suck. On the bright(ish) side you can load in by yourself to at least get a feel for at least the beginning of it. I'm doing that for this weeks just to solo and see how far I can get to at least learn where anomolies are and get comfortable with the encounters.

The Nightfall saved me. Needed just a Helmet and Titan Skirt at Reset. Every single powerful engram gave me a Helmet. In an extremely angry state I did the Nightfall expecting the final kick in the balls and was blessed with a wonderful 305 skirt on completion. Felt so good.

How can you tell a full-auto MIDA from a semi-auto one? You don't think someone can pull RT/R2 three times a second to hit the gun's max fire rate? In D1 MIDA also didn't need a full pull by the player to fire making it easier to spam, I don't know if that has carried over.

You know what's funny is that I hit 305 without realizing that I had reached it some time ago. I just needed to apply the legendary mods

Agreed. I play it only rarely, but each time I do, I'm newly horrified by how bad it is. And this isn't even including the terrible matchmaking, spawns, etc. They really need to go back to the drawing board on it.

Was leveling a my Warlock the other day and found a scannable in the Cayde mission that I didn't notice the first time around. It was a huge pain to finally get to it due to a funky location and Warlock jump being terrible.

I was rewarded with a kind of cool little easter egg though.

Just to reiterate a tip that I'm sure has been shared multiple times: pay attention to mods when re-modding a weapon. I stupidly decided to change the element on my Mida Mini and didn't realize I was overwriting a legendary mod with a rare one. Derp.

Yup. Making ALL of crucible sweaty trials like modes really screwed it. You don't feel like a powerful, unique Guardian anymore. It feels like a mediocre team shooter. Forget about PUGs alone, run a train or just don't bother.

ttk is actually lower because of the need for team shooting. If your PUG team just runs off alone, you won't win, no carries here.

They really ruined it trying to apply balance and competitive designs to the whole of crucible. That's what Trials was for, and where that design philosophy should have been left.

It's possible to get it back. I've gotten all three of the class specific swords from gunsmith engrams.

More and more I feel like I'm being pushed away from this game and at this point I wouldn't even mind it. Most of my friends just like stopped playing. I barely have the desire to get through the milestones now that I finally hit 305 with a good amount of my gear being 304-305.

Also agreed. I've only gotten savathuns hand and the one with the flame turrets from the playlist.

I mean, I'm going to get my guys up to 300+ (not grinding 305...not when they will move that goal post in a few months)...And I still need a calus kill. (Just havent' had the time to dedicate to full raid)....I'll likely be done after that until DLC...which is cool with me!

Well this was fun. Still questioning a lot of their decisions with D2, but the ride to the end was fun. Met a few good people. Guided raids and nightfall. Time to hang up this 305 Origin Story till they release private matches or DLC.
