That's freaking amazing.

I’m actually starting to ask myself how could capcom take two years to release an arcade mode when its basically been there since the beginning of fighting games.

This looks like the arcade edition of SFV was rushed after the succesful announcement of Dragon Ball Fighters Z, and they want to keep themselves relevant before people go deeper on Dragon Ball.

I don't think DBZF is competing with SFV. Maybe MvCI but not SFV.

Capcom took 2 years to make Arcade Mode because 1) they were legitimately surprised so many people wanted it and 2) they probably realized that shitting out a basic Tekken 7 style arcade mode wouldn't stop any of the negativity. They actually had to put some effort in otherwise it would be pointless.

So if like me you bought the base game on release and only played if for a week, with this new edition do i get a free update that includes season 1 and 2 characters?

I'd love Rufus back so, so dearly. And for his excellent, early King Cobra design to be worked into a new character too.

I'm interested to see what other changes there are to the game's mechanics. I'm hoping for riskier Crush Counter buttons in neutral and and overall increase in normals' range, if possible. Some more flexible ways to extend/reset combos would be nice.

According to the NYCC promo card for this game, AE will include both Season Passes, including the costumes for the 12 characters. No word on if this is on disc or as a code.

Odd that it includes 12 battle outfits but not the other 16.

Edit: The update launches on the same day as the disc.

Just saying, if you needed advice on how to get the most FM without having to grind too much!

I'm not part of the Capcpom Defense Force™
Ah, I see.

Thanks but I've seen that thread and done most of that stuff. Juri is the new character that I bought after reinstalling the game this week. I'm having a bit of problem with her #4 trial but should be able to get it eventually.

It was a nice surprise to see that they've added a new volume of trials tho. I've gotta get on that as well.

Would take ages with fm I imagine? I've unlocked some but certainly not all of them.

Buy the season 1 pass next time it's 10 bucks, use those characters to earn fight money. Play weekly challenges (which you could have been doing for over a year now) for around 6000 FM per week. Don't spend anything on stages or colors or you'll screw yourself.

Of course not. You get the modes free. It's not Capcom's fault you didn't play the game.

"bububu people who bought it later got more content for less money! Capcom owes me something!"

Nope. All games get cheaper over time.

I thought that would be the case but they should really change their wording then....

as that make it sound like your getting season 1 & 2 characters

I like the look of this character select but I'm a little bummed they're downplaying the whole "V" on their character select screen. I also don't know why they didn't bother to rearrange the character select so people are grouped more appropriately.
