Gran Turismo Sport demo coming Oct. 9

Lighting and density to the tracks is phenomenal as expected from Polyphony. And I'm happy that the menus retain the more understated yet 'classic' feel that the series has always had.

The use of some 2D trees is disappointing (they are billboarded and follow you around in photo mode), but you're unlikely to notice it when driving, though I do wonder how it looks with some of the more dynamic camera angles.

Ohhhh man, going by impressions posted in here this game looks like its gonna take the crown this year. Working today will be unbearable!

Importing decals with SVG too for liveries, this is a dream come true right now. Also very intrigued about suit liveries.

Are friend leaderboards active in this demo? If so, feel free to add me on PSN: KdotIX.

EDIT: Also from the beta Dragon Trail looked like an absolute blast to drive around, can't wait to finally try it! Future classic right there.

JUst had a quick boat around Dragon’s Tail in an MX-5...oh yeah, this is a proper GT game.

I was having the options crash before my race so I had brake assist on..htf does anyone play with that shit? I mean seriously.

Kids to bed, Star Trek to watch, then RACING!

PS4 pro Owners on 1080p, which mode are you playing it on? I am having a hard time choosing between 4K downsample and Frame Rate, on the bright side replays look stunning at 60fps, but there's something off from gameplay perspective at high frame rate mode.

4K of course.

I have no problem with replays in 30fps, it's more cinematic ergo even more realistic.

I wasn't even considering buying this game, but impressions seem great, will play the demo and see for myself

you should, i am still getting used to the handling on the controller, like the car spins out every now and then when i hard brake and accelerate, in nfs/driveclub, a brake and accelerate would result in a sweet sweet drift, but over here, i end up spinning!

Got a Viper gr.4 then a sls amg 10 as the daily, also got the atenza Sedan XD L 15, also there is just so much to do love it.

I love the camera angles in this replay, so had to share it.

The GT online community continues to impress. Having raced Forza and PCARS and Asseto Corsa online, GT ONLINE racers seem to be the most respectful, my first online race was a dream (even though I ran out of gas) I was hit once or twice but you felt it was not malicious, like people want to race and everyone is trying hard to avoid contact. This might end up the best racing game to play online, we'll see when it hits the market. Also the handling is damn good, felt good with a controller, for those who worry, if you don't got a wheel you can still be fast with a controller in GT. Game looks and plays wonderfully. T300rs GT should arrive soon for me, I'll test that out then.

How do i try out an online race? What are the things I need to complete before I try an online race?

I'll say it again, in race photo mode is disappointing. For far shots, that's ok, but get a little close to the car and you can see that the race model is leagues behind the showroom and scapes models.

*Confined* oh woe is me... Lol. Yeah 4K downsample would benefit you a lot there probably.

haaha, actually I enjoy the big screen, some games look amazing, some are just ok. Witcher III and sony's first party exclusives look out of this world when you go >65", but certain games like GTA:V(PS4), Dragon Age:Inquisition look rough around the edges and the visual flaws are lot noticeable when you see it that big!

I think if the gameplay suits you, there's no reason not to jump in. The game's suprisingly fleshed out. I expected it to be really poor in terms of content after all the meltdowns on GAF in the past months.

How does it compare to Forza 7 or project cars? Do the cars in that game have a higher quality in race mode?

Well, we are still at early phase, I could imagine soon the "lack of content effect" will kick in.

I was interested in a projector, but just don't have the room for it, 49 is the largest TV size I can go.

From what I've seen to close ups photos from Forza 7, worse. Outside of races though, that's a different story, but then you're not free to zoom in and see all details.

I reckon the only place I could zoom in and see every detail of the highest LOD cars is in the design a livery mode, but there's obviously no options for photos there.

I finished the driving tests just so I could get another car, and I did a few races with the AI, But you don't need to do anything, Atleast for the Gr. 4 race. The cars are provided and you simply jump in, run a qualifying time and race. Just finished my second online race and the experience continues to be good, hopefully it stays that way.
