It seems like this is a fairly recent change. I don't remember the colours being so saturated when the iPhone 7 launched.

My friend's 7+ consistently has a warm push when compared to my Pixel.
Fuck it, I bought it. Putting my iPhone 6 to retirement after 3 years, I'll switch back to iOS if they decide to do another major restyle in the future, now I need some change.

This is a stunningly ugly phone

i think it's a very good looking phone, the white/black contrast looks great and the red-ish button gives it lots of character, also i totally don't mind that it has 0,00005mm of bezels instead of 0,00004mm but then again i like the 16:9 iPhone so what do i know?
Now the smaller one? That looks very ugly with that camera sensor placed where it is and that awful shade of blue.

Looks like Google is canceling the orders placed in the Italian store, saying that the phone went on sale by a technical error.
To sum up: they only sell the pixel 2 xl, only the white one, it cost around 50 euros more than the other countries, no google home mini, and now they pull this shit.

I'm really happy to see this, they have resisted the temptation to exaggerate their pictures. While it's a very small sample this is by far the most natural and accurate tone mapping I've seen from a cellphone camera, the dynamic range is exceptional.
I can understand some might look at them and prefer the 'pop' of the iPhone shots, but unless it's raw that highlight/shadow data is gone (or never existed). You can always contrast boost after the fact if you want to ruin your shots.
Really staggering amount of range. I'm curious how they are managing to do it.

Great to see, and the same thing we saw with the Pixel, where it was doom and gloom for weeks before reveal, and then it was all praise after release.
Looking forward to getting one, but my pixel runs pretty damn solid so I can't justify it.

Thanks for this. Great battery life and a fantastic camera. Can't wait to get this one. Only regret is getting all black as opposed to the panda colorway. It will be hidden by a case but still lol.
When did you guys buy your pixels? I bought mine like an hour after the conference. Surprised to see I still got in but I haven't gotten any shipping confirmation yet.
I bought a D-brand skin to make my pixel xl 2 look like the panda version but much cooler since I got the black one.

I ordered a Pixel 2 (black), non-xl on October 10th, so well after the conference. Got shipping confirmation today that it'd be available on the 19th in Canada.

I've been looking for a wallet case, do you have the link for this case?
Most reports are saying about 16 hours with 4-6 hours screen time for both phones. Non-xl performance is much better than the pixel 1. XL is marginally better than the Pixel 1 XL.

I ordered on Amazon but it's also out of stock on there so no clue when I'll get it. Hoping I get it sooner rather than later.
My phone isn't supposed to ship until the end of the month though, so at this rate I might get the case first.
This is the d-brand I skin I went with. I honestly like that the finger-print sensor is black. I'm not regretting my decision to get the black version now!
Thanks! Two months ago I got a wallet case for my nexus 6p and it was for the better. It's so much more convenient. I think for now I'm just gonna get a cheap case for my pixel and then wait for that wallet case to be in stock.

I have a 6P that is dying a spectacular death right now, decided to get the Pixel 2 XL directly form Google over the weekend so won't be getting mine until Halloween. I just need to keep my 6P continuously hooked up to any sort of power supply for the next 2 weeks...

Yeah, I'm in a similar position where I'm hoping my 6P can last until my Pixel 2 XL arrives. It's been hit with the bootloop that I had to fix by disabling a processor core so the phone runs slow as molasses now and it just started having the battery issue.
This is getting praise?
I hate that phones are focused on getting slimmer over figuring out battery solutions.The Albatross

Pixel XL still gets insanely good battery time for my use... I regularly plugin with 70% still left at night. Though, I don't use my phone a lot during the day, but it's more than any other phone I've owned has ever gotten me.

I have an Xperia Z3 currently and the battery life has been amazing since day 1, but it's now 3 years old and is starting to crap out unless I put it in stamina mode. The big thing for me is that once I tasted what great battery life was like I couldn't go back.

Reviews look great. I absolutely love that new Youtube PiP in Android 8, I hadn't seen that yet and it looks amazing. So excited to get this phone next month. I need a thin clear case that is still protective, anybody know anything about the case on Google's site?

I get 2 full days out of my iphone 6 which has much worse battery performance. That seems pretty good to me, it's an improvement over the pixel 1, which my wife has and she is a much heavier user than myself with no issues whatsoever.
I don't know why anyone would be looking at a phone screen for more than 2 hours a day personally, but I sit at a computer all day.
Same. Always flabbergasted by people's screen on time figures for a single day. I am very rarely over 90 minutes.
