Hello mods, please DELETE my account as well. Not a ban, but full deletion. I asked for this last winter as well, and it wasn't done. Please do as I request, it isn't unreasonable.

Ive heard of Evilores creepy behavior before in GAF member IRC channels and he obviously knew more than he let on during the Amirox thing. Him even making Amirox and Opiate mods in the first place is suspect judgement.
I think Neogaf was a great site for games discussion comparitively to other shit shows and the right move wouldve been to hand the administrator role to someone and pay them for it. You couldve even kept half the profit which we all know is pretty sizable. But instead, you, Evilore, went the creep route. We dont believe you dude. Give it up.

We'll have to agree to disagree. You're concerned that a potential employer with your name, email, whatever can figure out you go by Kyzer online, and find incriminating stuff from there. I already know you go by Kyzer and I can't find jack squat. I personally don't think you have anything to worry about.

How does this work on a forum? I've searched and see that you've created about 20 threads in the gaming section. What would happen if you delete an user that are the creator of a thread? Honest question.

I have been lurking for quite a while but only asked for an account a few months ago. Only posted a few times as well. Loved the threads on new gaming news and official game threads. I am flabbergasted at the amount of people posting to be deleted. Just leave. It doesn't matter. If it's a protest then just leave. It's like watching a classroom of 5th graders all acting up when a substitute teacher is teaching. It's like they are trying to show off to others. Just leave. I have enjoyed my time so far but find this all very laughable.

Sure but you have to draw the line somewhere. Deleting a single user can break thousands of threads, and it doesn't take care of the fact that any time that user was quoted his/her name is still there for Google to find. So maybe delete every thread the user participated in? Or just wipe the whole forum just in case? And for what? The vague possibility that someone may find something sometime in the future that looks bad? This place has (mistakenly in my opinion) had a horrible reputation for years. Kyzer chose to participate anyway.
If I was in charge and feeling nice, I'd rename his/her account for him/her. I would not delete it.
I think you're overestimating the cultural influence of NeoGAF. Go to the grocery store and ask 100 people if they know what it is.
If the exceedingly unlikely happens and someone confronts you about it - say you left when you discovered things you didn't like.
I think its just there still but posted by a deleted account. I've seen posts like that around throughout the years.
And im worried because we made nerdy enemies in GamerGate that like to doxx people and who were celebrating the death of GAF after being pegged by society as nerds who harass game journalists, and want to see GAF stay dead, and some users have already reportedly been doxxed. and I'm leaving and don't want to have to think about this

1) threads aren't broken, posts remain
2) old discussions being broken is not that important anyways, this isn't a museum, and privacy concerns are important, I'm assuming evilore understands and is not suddenly mark Zuckerberg about our privacy
3) discussions being broken happens all the time anyways due to dead links and images
4) my name would not be a poster which is very different than someone mentioning me
5) you don't have to take any of the extreme measures youre implying like deleting threads or pages, it's not that unreasonable
6) there's a difference between gamers onlines opinion of NeoGAF and it being embroiled in a scandal, and even if there wasn't "me choosing to participate anyways" does not somehow mean a loss of all my rights and concerns of privacy, that makes no sense.

While we're here, does anyone know what happened to icarus-dedalus? Legitimately one of the great GAF mysteries, but no one seems to talk about it. She was a prominent anime, film and girl gaf member who was modded. One day I was wondering what happened to her and it seems like her account completely vanished. There was a blank space where her posts used to be.
With what happened to her it definitely seems to be possible.

I'd like to request a complete wipe/delete of my account as well. I've had a great time on GAF. So many fond memories of this place.
I'm going to miss defending the FFXIII Lightning Trilogy on a daily basis, but life goes on. Thank you all for making this place a fun place to retreat to, and for making genuine moves to make it a safer space for gaming minorities.

And now they have an express incentive not to. A few ghost accounts is ok. Mass amounts of them are not.
And anyway, you've likely got nothing to worry about. All the people doing the doxxing and whatnot don't care about an average user. They're going after the big personalities who are openly extreme left. I'm assuming that's not you or you would have blown up and suicided with the rest of them. Just move on. And come back when things settle and you're ready to rejoin the community. Because that will happen.

I understand. Were you actively engaged in the GamerGame converastion? But i think that sounds quite unlikely to happen though. Its been a while since GamerGate was very active (from what i know at least), and if it didnt happen before, i'm not sure that it will happen now. Theres so many users at NeoGAF as well.
By the way, if they cant delete your account, its at least possible to get an username change. I've seen people getting their username changed before. Then you should be able to get it changed to something random.
I think Evilore would understand and let people delete their accounts if they want to, the old threads are not necessary for the future of NeoGAF anyways.
This is a useful suggestion, thank you, definitely an alternative to consider. Hopefully Gromph gets to me soon. Judging from the thread still being up and my account not getting deleted nor hearing from anyone it might be something that only he can deal with

I PM'd Gromph last night. His name was red so I assumed. I wanted to PM instead of bothering staying users with a thread to automatically get me banned.
the pinned thread has someone you can PM about account stuff.
But i already PM'd them and no action yet.
So i humbly request a ban here too.
Just don't wanna have the temptation of keeping posting now that the forum is currently running rampant with people posting NSFW stuff in order to account suicide.

Laughable and quite amazing that alot of people here turned out to be so quick to act, but i'm sure they are mind readers and they know exactly what happened. LoL Its sorta late but welcome to Gaf. Hope you excuse the renovating lol, but yeah Ive been a member for almost 5 years I think? Lets try to bring this community back to gaming and news& let all that other stuff settle itself.
On a serious note to everyone asking to have your account deleted your overwhelming the mods. Chill for a couple of days then ask again once they get a handle on things. No ones forcing you to keep posting. Also do you ask for ANY of your accts to be deleted when you close them on other sites, emails, blogs etc??

It's different here because once people find out you used to post on gaf they pin a scarlet G to your shirt then shun you from society.
