Almost all forms of marketing on websites like this are targeted. These targets are based off of your cookies. If you have a real issue then research which ad company(most likely google adwords) and talk to them or purge this information from your personal google file(though warning, you may have like 8 gigs of information stored through google)

Can't really blame the web site for your own actions through a non direct source. Though advertising isn't perfect as I received a random thing at 3am on youtube about some dude with large testicles and curiously clicked on it(targeted advertising surprisingly worked) and there were a ton of comments at the same time frame questioning why this was recommended.

It's 2018 you'd think forum posters would learn the basics of how this stuff works.

Admins can go in and black certain ads from showing up again though, so it's worth reporting them. The GAF 2.0 feedback thread is probably the better place for them rather than making a new thread though. Or just PMing EviLore.
