Same here. It is the little things (touch of realism/details) that stand out in games for me. Hoping Sekiro and Ghosts follows through with that as well, which seems go be the case so far.
Reason I'm asking is, people seem to be excited (or not) about the upcoming Crimson desert and i got reminded of this, thing is, this game was announced back in 2016 for fook's sake...
Now, there have been many "fake" or supposed vaporware titles that actually did release - but more importantly were actually good like BM Wukong, Stellar Blade (plus the upcoming crimson desert) so I gotta ask, Where the heck is this game ? Is it still alive, is it in development hell or is it straight out cancelled ? I mean, their latest update was almost 4 years ago (tech demo ) :
I just love dark high fantasy settings and I'd love for this to actually release.
I know man, it's just that it's too AnimU for me, tried the demo and while good, in couldn't deal with the usual JRPG lolli screeching so I skipped it.
Project Awakening looks right up my alley, the JPN take on Western esthetics is really good (more so than in actual Western RPGs).
Please dont let it be another Deep down (another game which also looked very interesting for it never to release).

If there's any slight chance to change your mind, not sure if this will help your experience or not, but I played the game's campaign completely solo (no NPC helpers) and it's a gigantic difference when it comes to the lack of screeching and chatter during gameplay.
I personally did it because things were less chaotic and way more clear for me (I could actually hear how cool the music sounds in the game), and also doing so provides a challenge similar to Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix on Hard.
