That's not true. I've said it many times now that I only have 3 people on ignore. Just because I don't respond to you does not mean I have you on my ignore list. I do not just put anyone who disagrees with me on ignore. That would be childish.

In all seriousness it takes alot to get on my ignore list. The 3 people that are there earned it. And honestly 1 of them doesn't even count because he was perm'd. So technically I only have 2 people on ignore. Sometimes I just don't respond for various reasons. Most often because the person addressing me insulted me directly in some way or was intentionally disrespectful. And if I have done neither of those things to them in the conversation up to that point then I usually just walk away. I won't stick around to debate or discuss something only to be insulted. Especially if I've done no such thing to them in the conversation. Occasionally if I REALLY care about the topic at hand I will stick around anyway, but that is rare. And obviously if I am behaving like an ass as well then that doesn't apply.


I try to only treat others with the same amount of respect that I am shown. I fail at that at times do to my own moods and prejudices obviously, but I do try and be respectful when I can. But If people dismiss anything and everything I have to say or insult me why would I bother taking the time to respond? Especially when I know that in most cases I'll just get more of the same again once I do?


I don't need that. I have better uses for my time and my patience.

I think you are letting illiberal (not referring to either the US or the European notion of liberalism here, but just the meaning of giving agency to people) off the hook too easily here. For two reasons:
1. Certainly, a good Christian will be aware that commiting sexual acts between two men is making the participants stinky in Yahweh's nose and shall be punished by death (stoning, to be precise), just as a good Christian will be aware of all the other things of varying intuitiveness that will cause nasal discomfort to their creator. However, a good Christian will also know that disobediance to the lord does not stop with actions, thought is in many cases sufficient (it goes as far as longing for someone else's possessions is a sin against the ten commandments, one of the most well-known rule sets). Moreover, a good Christian also knows that disregarding sins commited on earth, for a person to be granted eternal life, at the very least devotion to Yahweh and Jesus are required and of course, someone who is truly devoted to both will not commit such heinous acts such as wearing long hair as a man or have sex with a man as a man. So forbidding such actions is inconsequential, because the people who commit them cannot be protected this way. Now one might argue that they might later find their way to Jesus and then this sin will be in the way to resurrection, but I think no Christian will need to be reminded that Jesus stands for forgiveness and truly devout followers will be forgiven terrible acts in their life before finding their way to Christ, as apparent e.g. by famous bible book writer Saul.
2. As for the comparison to paedophilia: In contrast to acting on paedophilia, acting on homosexuality (consent being a given) has no victims. So comparing an act that necessarily humilates a person to one that has no victims is a false equivalence (to stay on topic of Resetera).

They probably did it because of my salty comment about it here that 100% got reported to the mods over there. Well, fuck them. Who needs a forum full of people like that?

The only thing I'm a bit sour about is that I had a key for a game (Broken Age) I had won in a giveaway raffle that I had not redeemed yet sitting in my inbox which is now lost haha

Yeah there's a 100% chance they have people monitoring this thread. I have no doubt my smack talking here played a role in my ridiculous permaban.
 
For sure. I mean, just look at what I was banned for. If this isn't one of the most idiotic causes for a permaban I really don't know what is.

Interestingly enough, my ban on there didn't become permanent until after I discussed it here and talked about my issues with the moderation over there.

They state they are part of the LGBT community (though in an asinine way with the "being LGBT" which would infer that they are both L, B, G, and T). Agar states that they thought they were Gay, but found out they were pansexual after "being with" (sleeping with) a Female to Male transgender.

When I see those LBG..... acronyms I have to think about it too. I've seen these acronyms lots of times, but Lesbian, Gay are easy, but any other letters takes me more time to get it right. And sometimes the acronym extends to 6-7 letters.

And I never heard of or knew what Pan means. So learning what pansexual means is new to me right now.

But that's Resetera's leftist angle which assumes everyone knows what everything means. Even though the guy meant it as a lighthearted joke, it goes to show how hardcore serious they are.

I'd like to see any Resetera guys inherently know what some business terms are that I see regularly at work..... ROI, DSO, DPO, DIO, CCC, TPR, etc.... and see how they fare without googling it.

Oh god, if the GOP manages to hold the seats that they have it'll be a goddamn shitshow.

GOP have the most seats right now, so they have the most to lose. So even a 1 or 2 seat win for the Dems should appease them. Anything less and the internet will get even worse then it is now for months.
