The replay showed the kick landed on the abdomen, above his pants even. "The poke" was on the left eye. Usman was complaining about the right eye. Everyone I'm watching it with right now called that right away when they showed the replay. If anything, Usman is trying to catch a break.

Holy shit guys, Usman finished it instead of going the distance. I didn't expect that at all, it looked like Usman was going to just let it go to decision but he finished it with some haymakers right on the sides of Covington's head.

His jaw is intact. His face is bust up. B grade striking but justified result.

Soft stoppage. It's a championship fight in the final minute, you could've waited a little given the glove was up and absorbing some of it. The writing was on the wall either way though.
