I can't imagine who's really going to spend money at the box office for this. The first was okay and the second movie was awful but existed in a time when a movie ticket was relatively cheap.
Even with great writing is there any way this doesn't bomb? Who here is going to see this?

I re-watched the originals a few months back when I saw that this was actually getting made, and yeah....they did not hold up for me at all. Other than maybe a few scenes (and I'm being generous), they are in no way still good movies today. It does make me wonder how it'll do since someone my age who liked the originals as a kid is the prime demographic and I don't even know if I care about watching it.

Yeah I was concerned too, but the writer Ed Solomon on Twitter pointed out the original Babies in Bogus Journey were played by Twin Girls (that bit is true I checked it on IMDb) and so he stuck with that idea saying they the characters were always meant to be girls (that I don't know if it's true or not, just going by his word)
Little Billie and Little Theodora I guess.
I do miss George Carlin though, even though he's Barely in the 2nd one much, I don't know who they will replace him with or just outright cast a new character to replace him.

This will probably be the best of the trilogy, at least for me. Never thought the first two were all that great, but I can see this one being quite fun.

Those involved are gonna have to walk a fine line in recapturing the spirit of the original. Look at what worked and what didn't, and try to make the best version they can. Since Alex Winters and Keanu have been trying to plan this out for years, I'll give them a little faith. I don't think they would do this if they believe it would just suck in the end. I do recall seeing an interview back in the early 90's with the two of them thinking part 2 was just a cash grab by the Studio.

According to the script leaks, the girls are the main character and Rufus is a black rapper now, they also go back in time and change the past by taking the 2016 ghostbusters to 1984, and making Hillary president. Death is now also known as Vitality Challenged to avoid life shaming, and is confirmed to be gender fluid.
