I can't say that I think you need to apologize for anything. Forum games are fun, but they're also a commitment. If they feel like more of something you're pressured to do, that can hurt the value of the fun for you as the OP. I think people can understand that, because a lot of us have been in similar situations.

Your standard posts and thoughts on this forum already contribute to the positive and welcoming nature of this community.

Hi.

I don't think we've ever really interacted before, but I've seen you around quite a bit. I know you're quite popular around here. I don't think anyone would any sort of grudge against you for not keeping up with threads. This is a web forum for an enthusiast hobby, after all. Pretty much any real-life goings on should take precedent, and pretty much any reason for not keeping up is justified, even if it's as simple as "I don't feel like it."

I saw your post in the Mental Health thread. I don't know you very well nor do I know your situation, so I don't feel qualified to give you advice on what you should or shouldn't do. All I can say is that I've often felt similar to the way you've described. When you feel like the your progress and achievements and the positive things attributed to you are all fake, and you feel like people only remember you for your failures, and that any friendliness shown towards you is either out of societal convention or pity. In the end, negative thoughts like these are our brains playing tricks on us, trying to twist every little thing into the worst possible scenario as a sort of strange defense mechanism.

Again, I'm not qualified to comment your character, but from what I've seen you seem like a genuinely nice person and when people speak of you they always hold you in high esteem. I've genuinely never once seen anyone speak ill of you. The impression you've left here is truly a positive one, and if you were to leave I think this forum would be losing something important.

I think you deserve to feel better than the way you feel now.

Whatever you are feeling, please disregard any negative thoughts and just know that we care about you and want what is best for you and your happiness. Take it from someone who has always been way too hard on herself- We have to be okay ourselves before we can best care for others.
