Say what you will about Kevin Costner not having a British accent, but I watched Prince of Thieves again for the first time in ages about a year ago, and thought it still just held up really well as a good movie in general.

Probably the old movie with Errol Flynn. Back then, they really shot arrows into people. Into padding, but still, actual archers shooting actual people with actual arrows.
I am partial to Robin of Sherwood
It's very 80s, but neat. It's also the source of there being a Moor among the merry man. He was originally a villain in the pilot, but his character was so cool, he got written into the show.
The English didn't have a British accent then. Not until relatively recently.
Americans talk the way the English did, it's just we kept talking that way, while their accent changed due to influence from Europe.
