After Batfleck being so over the top, and Bale being so grounded DKR ended up plain dull, this batmobile, as well as everything else we've seen, looks more like a pulpy, dark, unrealistic but still street level take on the character, and I am genuinely hopeful for it being good.

A lot of people don't seem to realise this is Batman very new to being Batman hence why his suit, bike and car that we've all seen so far obviously aren't on par to other iterations we've seen on screen.
It's possible some of his kit will upgrade throughout the movie.

The original batmobile (comics) was pretty much a basic car too. I think that's what they're going for here.
