PS5 reveal tomorrow

Oh I am not calling anyone a fanboy and I am definitely not a PC elitist. I prefer to play games on consoles. I was just pointing out that it's weird how behind the consoles are when it comes to storage. That's all.
Shit sorry should've made it clear those were directed at Stuart360. You are right consoles and PCs are behind on storage front, and consoles are finally catching up and making it on a massive scale, so it will be world wide status quo in the near future.

This is true and it's my prediction. If CU match the rumor (Where 9.2 was calculated from) but clocks are higher, we will know. However the clock can only be raised so much before we have overheating problems and a decrease in reliability 🙈

You also have to consider the trade-offs though.

Increasing the clock to try to match XSX leads to:

-Increased heat
-Increased power consumption
-Increased fan speed/noise
-Decreased reliability

All that for the sake of making PS5 closer? They might stay at 9.2 and focus on their games + secret sauce talk lol

Agreed. Mark my words, Sony won't be able to match 25Tflops (CU + RT cores) of the Xbox Series X.

They were probably expecting Sony to inflate their numbers and come out with a fake TF number like they did with the PS3 lol, so MS basically said, ok, we have 12TF of GPU + 13TF of RT cores for 25TF of compute power overall. Not much room for Sony to fib.

Agreed. The PS5 dev box looks like a vacuum. The final product will surely suck.

I read you wrong this is my bad. Sorry.

Let's lay off the blatant, low effort console warring.
For all the Xbox fans that might get diarrhea tomorrow at 9:01am PST, no worries*.

I LIKE hoe you fanboys always talk about " matching " the only thing you need to worry is if microsoft is matching sony machine, i find this types of comments very annoying and ignorant.

go pipe down and play some forza

Microsoft announced their spec's first, therefore matching or exceeding is the correct way of referring to it. Don't get your panties in a bunch now.

Except the XBsX doesn't have 25TF. You have a grand total of 12TF for what you'd call regular graphical tasks and then 13TF available for DXR related shenanigans. You cannot tap those 13TF for regular graphical tasks. Stop spreading nonsense.

Also, this is part of AMDs raytracing solution which, surprise, the PS5 also has.

As a true gamer, my best wish is that it's both more powerful than the xbox and cheaper. And that's coming from a personal who uses the xbox as the primary gaming system in the house by far.

I just want the best possible power for all our next gen games.

So you're saying the PS5 might have a potential all the way up to 14 TF!?

I just want to see some actual games running on this thing.

I like tech and reading about things like system architecture flip flops, scalliwags, and all that stuff, but ENOUGH ALREADY.

Show us some fucking games - show us why these specs are important.

I'm very excited for tomorrow!
Probably not gonna be a full blown out reveal with demos and games but here's hoping for some cool teasers!
Just imagine the possibilities with Sony's WWS!

Wouldn't be shocked if we hear lots of details and lots of bad news on a potential delay, just a reality at this point.

I don't really care about hardware specs just show me some games

Of course not. There are already SSD's as good as whats in the consoles available now on PC,

The problem is that games are heavily compressed. That's why you don't see a difference between a Sata SSD and NVME SSD, unless you decompress your game in the NVME SSD.

The loading times in PC with NVME SSD is not actually loading the data from SSD to RAM. That 20 second loading time is decompressing time.

Your 8 core CPU can actually crunch to decompress the data provided that devs will care for it. But that only solves loading of assets at load-time. How about streaming, loading of assets at run-time? Decompression of data will eat into CPU or GPU resources depending on the implementation.

Sometimes it's not smart to run and punch quickly even if you pack the power of Mike Tyson, as you might get countered by an uppercut punch that might not knock you down, but lose points in the long run if the opponent is strong enough.

They are definitely playing to win, but it can seem a bit petty imo.
I prefer when they lead the charge like they did with the ps4.

Will be interesting to see if they mention the BC and how inclusive it will be, or if they just dodge the question altogether.
