I'm curious how they will deal with the covids. maybe it won't matter because launch is still so far away. but maybe it will be a long drawn out crisis that will change everything. maybe next gen launch will be delayed until 2022. I'm interested :messenger_medmask:

I honestly really don't care what tech it has, at end of the day whats gonna get me decide which system to get is games.
I'm into tech analysis, this stuff fascinates me.

Games are the most important, yes, but I highly doubt we're seeing any of those today, and I'm good with that.

Well we know both the Pro and X1X sold significantly less than the base models.

So maybe not "pointless", but nearly so.

You don't want mid-gen refreshes anymore?

Sony announced their GDC cancellation almost a month ago. It's entirely possible they've shifted the focus of this presentation accordingly.

If there are no games, I'll be hopping off the hype train until I see 'em.
I just think a "pro" model has to be a more substantial difference, like how they were this gen.

Watch them say it doesn't matter if it ends up being less than XsX TFs. The same broken record over and over

I'm really hoping it ends up less powerful myself just so I can see all the REEEEEEEE

I'm still buying a PS5 day one regardless, but I think there's something hilarious that as much as specs are nice and all my Xbox 1 X is still mostly used as a 4k player and Gears machine. Specs aren't the end all be all if there's no games to play you're interested in.

Why would it considering if I bought a series X and can't play those games anyway?

That's my point, if a person wasn't ever going to buy the competitions console due to whatever personal reason than who cares if they're playing a game you have no interest in on a more powerful console. Enjoy the games you like on whichever console provides them and be happy. Now if PS5 comes out and its drastically less powerful to the point where it looks like Sony just didn't give a shit then maybe that's a different story. But people getting upset and concerned bout a 1-2tf difference is a waste of time imo.

Personally* I am waiting for the mid-gen refresh anyway, whether it's an actual increase in power or a revision of an existing Pro model. Hopefully around that time Sony pushes their PS VR 2, too. So for me it's Pro or bust.

*Emphasis on personally. I have no problem with people who want to buy a beast console on Day One

"Xbox 1 X is still mostly used as a 4k player and Gears machine."

This statement makes no sense, if I wanted to play a multiplatform game in the past 2 years, this was the best platform to do so.
I've played probably 50 different games.
Sounds to me like someone has blinders on due to a preference for sony exclusives.
I use the ps4 pro for those.

multiples are a thing and yeah its all down to taste, I love my ps4 but I like my games on xbox better. end of the day we will need both to be happy gamers really

As someone who's been watching Sony events since the 90's, I just want to point out that they typically start 20 minutes after the time they tell you.

Imma be honest with you, is looking at the OP too hard?

Imma be honest with you, when I open the PS-Blog Website, either I'm to stupid/not used to or there is no apparent link or so to click on that says "IN XYZ Minutes, the Stream will appear HERE". It's just the Blog, so I still don't know where I can watch the stream. Thanks for the "effort" though.

So tell me xbox guys/gals... does that mean that the PS5 needs 26 threads to read at full speed on that SSD? because it is twice as fast as the one requiring 13 threads in the series x (if it did not have that magical hardware acceleration, that exists in all Zen CPUs).

I'm still waiting for the good stuff. Mark Cerny is a good guy...a pretty good, and boring guy.

GIVE US THE SPECS MARK! THESE CONSOLE WARS MUST GO ON!

Entire levels worth of data as the camera pans is pretty powerful. Microsoft is about half that, but it's not impossible for them to accomplish a similar result with less data which is where there decompression comes into play.
