Uk coronavirus bill: organizations could be requested to provide places to store bodies.

That's pure fear mongering. Not even the hardest hit places have run out of places to store bodies.

Reminds me of last year when we were told that the NHS were stockpiling body bags ready for Brexit. Pure scare tactics.

I know I know lol
I was mainly just surprised to read that on the news while drinking a tea is all.

Italy:

Not great, not terrible.

3/19: 5322 cases / 427 deaths
3/20: 5986 cases / 627 deaths
3/21: 6557 cases / 793 deaths
3/22: 5560 cases / 651 deaths
3/23: 4790 cases / 602 deaths

I'd say another day of decline in cases is needed before we break out the champagne.

UK update

I so hope this is true!

Over the weekend especially on Saturday there were a lot of people out socialising and running errands but since then in my local area it's reversed so people are starting to listen to the advice now. I do hope the UK can avoid a Italy style outbreak.

I normally go running Mon/Wed/Fri around the local canal and staying in today felt very unusual for me.

I personally think the Italy situation was the 'best' thing to happen for the Western World.. I highly doubt any of the rest of the countries would be taking such drastic actions if we weren't seeing the horrors in Italy. It's sad, but a lot of people don't really care about dead chinamen.

I wouldn't be surprised if a London lock down is on the cards. People were filling Tube trains today. They are making the enforcement of stricter measures more likely:

People here getting crazy.

My neighbor's car wouldn't start and she asked her brother for help and he said he won't leave his house. He lives about four or five houses from her.

I really hope the number of daily new cases and deaths keeps dropping in Italy. Confinent needs to work.

The best thing about this week is not only that Italy has peaked at the end of the week and the number of cases will continue to decrease daily, but also that the next countries will reach their peak of case numbers. Italy was very courageous with the complete lockdown and a very good example for all other countries.

My brother has the symptoms now. He was attending to an infected patient and 3 days later he's feeling it. No N95 masks were available. Imagine working the frontline like that. It was just a matter of time.

Entire province of Ontario put in lockdown.

Alberta next.
As i mentioned yesterday.

Go shopping now people.

But forget about any weights. No dumbbells no benches no nothing.
We all gonna come put like rambos and gi janes.
I bet its sitting there in their corners and the only thing they lift is their beer bottles

South Africa update: President just called it. Country is shutting down for 21 days as a response to growing number of confirmed cases and the fear that our health care infrastructure won't cope if the growth continues (it has no chance). It's being labeled as phase 1 of the response.

Edit: price hikes for essential goods are being prohibited. First time I've heard of this.

NJ death update:

Old men am cry

How do they know that?

No smokers? No overweight people? Really? These are severe pre-conditions nobody talks about. All have had comprehensive medical examinations in the last few years?

57 - 91 years old. Okay.
For the 60–79-year-old age group, the following have Cardiovascular Disease : 69.1% of men; 67.9% of women.
For the 80+ year-old age group, the following have Cardiovascular Disease : 84.7% of men; 85.9% of women.

Source: https://www.heart.org/idc/groups/heart-public/@wcm/@sop/@SMD/documents/downloadable/ucm_483970.pdf

In short, there is a big difference between "having no pre-existing conditions" and "having no known pre-existing conditions".

The good news is that this is inevitable if most people stick to a lockdown. :messenger_smiling:

I feel like you don't fully appreciate the lengths people will go to avoid the lockdown.

etc.
