Bruce is Asian, Alfred is the gay uncle, Selina is PoC, and yet somehow Joker is still a white guy.

The US comic industry is really trying to commit suicide.

 
Why would you announce this...now? Like how fucking blind to the world can you be. The New Warriors got a awful reception, Children of the Atom got a awful reception, Diamond is shut down. Maybe sit on this idea for like...a month.

It's not like anyone is going to buy this shit.
 
Eh, I'll check it out. Maybe it will turn out decent. I dug Gen X and Gen 13, I kinda like the high school drama comic book worlds. Maybe it's a guilty pleasure of mine, I guess. Kinda like watching Real World and Jersey Shore.

Doesn't look that bad to me.

Race/gender/sexuality/any trait whatsoever swapping doesn't really bother me, a character can be presented in different forms over the course of a century, its alright

Seems to be the trend. They'll get a nice virtue signal out of it, though.

Honestly, this triggers me more than it should. Not because I have a problem with the race/genderbending etc of established characters. Go ahead and do your thing, and if the market wants it, good for you. But because it can NEVER be the other way around, or Reee and the like will throw a tantrum, go full cancel mode, label you a Nazi and force the creator to make an apology which they will never accept anyway. I remember reading some thread over there where they found out a black character in some game that was voiced by a white guy, and they fucking exploded with rage. Same thing in another thread where they found out that someone had drawn fan art of some Nintendo character, I believe, but the artist had made her skin too light, and reeeeing ensued.

Seems like doing this shitting, swapping crap is a new trend. They are really competing with Marvel to see who ruins first. Although still pretty hard to debunk things like a super-hero called "Snowflake".

But hey, if they want to ruin Batman who am I to stop them? Go forth, believe in yourself.

AND the WB will pick it up for a tv show. The show will get a user score of 10%, will receive low viewership, that declines from week to week, and will run for 10 seasons.
