Also VPN's are more widespread than you think. People use them to access international catalogues of streaming sites. Even dumb high school girls knew how to use proxy sites to access social media in school when it was a thing.

If anything, I thought he had toned it down recently. He even had a heartwarming moment with Matt of all people. Just weird to think one of the more prominent posters was permanently banned, even if I completely understand that rules are rules regardless of your status here.

I always assumed it was non-serious or parody, I dunno. I had a few chuckles.

The Switch hate sounded real, though, because that made sense given his zoomer/gen-X identity crisis.

I wonder if it didnt make more sense to ban Brap for a year rather than permanently, which would have given him plenty of time to change his ways.
I think temporary ban penalties need to be raised to hurt more, so we can possibly avoid perming people.

Good idea. I think they were harsh on brap because he just came from a ban. I talked to him, he's sad because he thinks that he disappointed us. If that says something then it means that brap is a good dude just like how we know him. I'll miss him for sure

I don't get why several people seem to think he was ever gonna change. brap was brap, I didn't mind the guy persoanlly but I'm not the least bit shocked he finally landed his perm because that's who he is. Two weeks, sixth months, a year away from the website isn't going to change his personality enough that he's not gonna get into hot water here, and honestly, would you really want that..? Do you really want neutered, self-censored brap? I thought the whole appeal was he was the forum wildcard. The guy was /b/ incarnate, it was nearly impossible to tell a lot of the time whether he was being serious or just trolling.

Dunno, to me it seemed that he got plenty of leniency over time (which he deserved as a beloved and fairly long time poster) but there's only so much mods can do without rolling out a red carpet. Everyone thinks they know of other posters here who get too much preferential treatment, but that's a subjective opinion and I seriously doubt anyone can point to a single other user of this website that was as constantly at 100% as he was. That was his charm.

Anyway, that's my two cents. RIP brappy, you mad cunt.

This seems aggressive lol. Just makes me laugh at the reasons they list sometimes. Also I continue to be perplexed by the fascination people have with console warring, and on the other hand, other people's inability to just ignore that kind of garbage and not partake. I find it amusing that console warring is a bannable offense.

Console warring is just a blanket a term that usually encompasses unreasonable discussion and/or antagonistic remarks out of ones loyalty to a piece of plastic. It's not too far off from religious zealots that tell you "the power of _____ compels you".
