Avengers: Alternate Death Scene

The entire thing was such contrived bollocks full stop.

The moment they said the two people that had no superpowers, no experience of flying spaceships, and of whom only one had ever been off world before, but had a reasonably close relationship with one another, were going by themselves to the total mystery world that they know had been the place where Gamora had died, was so bloody heavy handed and obviously done because someone had to die there and anuthing else would have involved talented and imaginative writing beyond what they clearly had available.

The fact they then killed off Black Widow despite her being a vastly better and more popular character with a better actor, more interesting story potential and an upcoming bloody movie, was just shitty icing on the incompetence cake.

As such, this scene actually fits right in with the rest of it, and I can absolutely see this being what the original writer envisioned, because they're clearly a fucking moron.

They have suits that initiate the time travel transport. Doesn't matter where Thanos is, it takes him like 1 second to warp away. Combine that with the fact that he gets warped away from the mountain, he probably has more than enough time to escape if he gets his shit together and doesn't shell-shock around.

The reason this was probably cut is the fact that Thanos has no idea where the soul stone would be at that time. He could potentially have seen it in the memory files but I think he was more focused on actually getting his "daughter from the future" and then get her to spill the beans about the 2 going for the soul stone, which probably would've taken too long anyways.

Oh I thought this was gonna be the one that the russos talked about, Thanos going back in time, Decapitating Captain America (the actual removal offscreen) from one of the multiverse timelines rolling up to the Avengers and throwing the head of Cap on the ground next to current timeline Cap in front of the Avengers, just to show his power & how much of a threat he is and to torment Cap obviously.

Or it was something along those lines anyway, but they got told it was too Dark for kids, so I guess maybe they didn't even film it? Would have been rad though
 
it's still lame, forcing those kinds of sacrifice plays doesn't usually work

strange that it appears to be fully rendered tho, must've been a split decision between the two

this woman's only real value is killing herself but at least she looks nice doing it

They made a reference to a conversation in the first movie between her and Hawkeye and a ledger. He saved her life so this was her paying him back. Problem is, you'd have to have a fresh memory of that for it to sync up. So it felt off key.

Remember how they killed the Hulk's personality OFF SCREEN.

edit: They spent two fucking movies with Ragnorok and Infinity War setting up that the Hulk and Banner were two separate entities that were learning to co-exist. Then they straight up kill the Hulk offscreen in Endgame. Throwing all of that buildup into the dumpster.

What shitty fucking writing.

Not a fan of either death scene. They should've gone darker and had thanos finish her off or something. I think most could agree that the movies got way too PG'ish.
 
Kinda unrelated, but that reminds me...

After the amazing development that 2018's Thanos got, he was replaced by that cartoonish 2014 version? Seriously?

Killing him off at the beginning of Endgame was stupid and for the shock value. The story could've been the SAME if Thanos just destroyed the stones and was kept alive for the finale.

A final battle against 2018 Thanos would be way better
 
That was actually better. Put me in the camp that completely forgot she died as well.

Still love Infinity War but Endgame was kinda 'meh well at least it's over'.

Read all the spoilers so didn't even bother going to the cinema.

The movie was good(not as good as the first one...I don't think anyone would top the first), but this part it's the worst shit they ever came with.

If that part was about "veterans" showing up and teaching young Peter how things are done, than it would be a lot better.

But no, they had to crap the movie with that stupid part. Even when I was watching with my brother I was like: "eh? ok then?".

No matter how many times they push this character, I still think shes terrible. Everytime I see her in the film, I pretend shes not there. The same thing with Scarlet. I like the character Scalet Witch, but the actress is just terrible.

first 2 hours of endgame are literally legends of tomorrow with a better cast(?) and special effects, fight me.

Lol this was so bad and out of nowhere.
Also a kinda shitty way to try and come across as woke when half of them are side characters at best and you just had the only legit cool female character of the team die by sacrificing herself for a dude
