Which trilogy will be rebooted first?

OT/PT or ST?

It would make sense to reboot the OT, but I could see them holding off on that and going with the PT. All though with how fucked up the ST was and the retconning going on during the ST, maybe they reboot that and give it another shot to "end" the series.

We know Hollywood and Disney are creativly bankrupt and have fucked star wars up the ass. So the only way to salvage this thing is to lean heavily on nostalgia or erase our memories of the horrible ST.

Old republic is the only rational way to go. Lots of Jedi vs lots of Sith.
Think the BioWare Star Wars: Old Republic from ~10 years ago.



Edit: I will never see another Disney SW film again unless it's in the same vein as this commercial.

They won't redo any trilogies, they'll just keep expanding the universe. A saga set in the distant past, distant future, some spinoffs set parallel to and between the Skywalker stories.

My guess is the ST is all but completely forgotten. That they will either A) go back and tell stories from way before or after B) tell stories during but disconnected from the ST or C) all the above

OT. they have already done a soft OT reboot with the ST and auxiliary films/Mando. they have also done animated re-imaginings based on audio from the OT movies for a younger audience. finally, they have already shown us plenty of OT-era new footage. with RoS they have ROTJ Luke/Leia, with RO they have ANH Mon Mothma, Leia, Vader, & Tarkin. all of this has been a warm up.

when they will announce a reboot of the entire saga, they will start with Episode IV: A New Hope. think about how much they hate the PT, how bad it's reputation still is among the film critics they are so desperately trying to please. they will say "we are respecting the traditional release order" and then do OT, PT and ST. that way, by the time they reboot ST, the original actors will be able to cameo as old mentor characters. at this point the franchise becomes an eternally spiraling fractal ouroboros of reboots.

Lucasfilm know the ultimate nostalgia button is the OT. IMO it will be released in time for the 50th anniversary in 2027.

So whats the gender swap and LGTBQXYZ!PQ# pandering they will do? And how much of the cast and locations will be replaced by Chinese?

I am guess we will get a black trans luke (who will be color corrected for China). Darth Vader's suite will have to be replaced because its racist. Obi Wan won't be a solitary hermit loner anymore, but instead be in a polyamourse relationship with a gay Jawa, non-binary C3PO, and a body positive Jabba the Hut.

Rian Johnson will make a new trilogy that retcons the whole saga with Mickey Mouse as a sith in the main lead.

It's more likely they will create a brand new trilogy that has nothing to do with the Skywalker saga. Or we might see more one-off movies like Rogue One and Solo which would be cool in my opinion.
