He was talking to the guy from DHS and he said youll test that youll have to get the medical doctors involved. At no point did he say inject yourself or imply anyone should be injecting themselves.
It was stupid to say even though the idea behind trying to use the data provided by DHS in the medical fiels is sound. The way he suggested it came off as dumb and left him open for then ridicule he is recieving now. It was dumb to say and now he will have to deal with it.

The cure for this is more in line with tuberculosis rather than pneumonia, hence the ventilators arent being used (in numbers) as they were supposed to, if a person needs a ventilator, their survival rate is already minimal. The heat/sun will not change a thing, it will have a minimal effect because people cough/sneeze less in the summer time, but thats pretty much it.

Yes the virus can still get around especially indoors in ait conditoned enviroments with no direct sunlight.
But this also gives us insight on how the virus is transmitted and how we can reduce its transmission. This is no different then studies showing how long droplets survive in the air or on surfaces. Becuase of those studies we wash our hands and dont touch our face and wear masks etc....
This study can now help drive new behaviors especially when we are in sunlight or for cleaning surfaces. This in turn can help reduce the rate of transmission.

You can't just say "More people are dying because of the Lockdown than people dying of Covid" without providing proof. He's just speculating based on nothing. New York has millions of coronavirus cases, and the virus has been with us since February. In February, the system functioned fine. We don't need this lockdown anymore. Let people decide what level of risk they are comfortable with, as free citizens, not subjects of insane tyrants.

Your study looked at temperatures not sunlight. Its like complaining you arent getting a tan when you throw boiling water on yourself.
But its fine if we want to wait further on the DHS to follow up with more data. This info is actually a week old and at the time they cautioned the data wasnt proven. If they are going to the public i suspect they have more confidence but we can wait for more studies i guess.
And no one is saying waiting for the sun to kill the virus. This is just a tool to reduce the transmission. Sunlight killing the virus means that farmers can know that its safer to go out and work the farms. But when they go back inside then all the old precautions return.
There is surely a pattern in warmer countries. We arent seeing the deaths like in the colder west. Is that from lying or from sun helping reduce transmission and possibly effects that we dont have any science behind it and can only rely on speculation.

But that's not the standard. The lockdown was designed to slow down the virus, not stop it. The lockdown was meant to slow it down because we all thought our healthcare systems were going to collapse if we didn't slow it down, and would barely hang on even if we did. That's why Cuomo was talking about how many ventilators and hospital beds we needed, and why the government brought a battleship or whatever into New York. Note they said all that DURING THE LOCKDOWN, so it's not that "the lockdown saved us" like fanatics are saying.
Well it turns out none of that shit happened. We didn't need those ventilators, we didn't need the beds, and the battleship was empty most of the time. Turns out our system was more resilient than thought and this virus just isn't as deadly or dangerous as people thought it was. That's just how it is. In fact, it turns out millions of people had this thing when we were all living our regular lives. We can handle COVID-19 without getting ourselves into a bunker and destroying the economy and putting tens of millions of people out of work, just like we can handle many other illnesses and bugs. We don't need to do this.

This is getting really close to "its just a flu". I do agree with you we need to talk about coming out of lockdown as its going to take a long time for the vaccine to arrive and thats normal. What we need to talk and establish by rule of law; Employee protections for those returning to work including face masks, full PPE, social distancing and the like all being mandatory in any work place and flexibility regarding sick leave regarding Covid-19 specifically.
Lets get people back to work; but also keep employees from being at-risk.

Many countries have already experienced a years worth of flu deaths in the space of a few months to Covid-19. In epidemiological terms; that is incredibly rapid.
We've already had public transport staff and healthcare staff dying from this virus while at work. You cannot send everyone back without providing a safe work environment and the only way to make employers follow compliance is through rule of law.

Well, the obvious point here is that they're getting sick from this during the lockdown, which means the lockdown isn't stopping the spread if the goal is to stop the spread. I discussed this above. Anyway, I'll just say that this thing makes people sick, and some people die from it, as they do from the flu, pneumonia, and many other diseases. And it's really sad when people die from this stuff, but nobody has ever proposed shutting down the entire country because of flu or pneumonia. People are acting like all of this is new when in reality it happens every single year, people just ignore it because it's background noise (and the media doesn't make a big deal out of it). Even if this thing is objectively deadlier and more dangerous than the flu (jury is still out - it's clearly not Ebola), that still doesn't mean that destroying the economy is a good idea.

The fact that it isn't like ebola is worse. Diseases with a too high mortality rate die out fast. Diseases with a lower mortality rate but much higher infection rate are much much worse than ebola. The point about transport/healthcare staff is that they ARE working during lockdown but weren't provided with PPE which is a requirement now.
