Microsoft Games Showcase Event Today (11am ET / 8am PT / 4pm UK)

Wow, gaming hasn't really moved on at all has it.
There were a few interesting games on there but mostly generic stuff.

Nevermind

Inside Xbox has never been for exclusives since it's conception. It's a way to show what games are being worked on from the development communities around the world.

I feel like people are intentionally jumping on this show for not showing exclusive footage when that's not the shows purpose and never has been. it's ridiculous.

I'm not talking about exclusives, I'm talking about NEXT-GEN games which none were shown today, pretty much no real gameplay at all. It's ok if you feel satisfied with this show. As you can see most people don't.

As usual the GAF community embarrasses itself with a gross overreaction, wait for the the devs that have alot more time developing with the final hardware. I have huge expectations for the July showcase, knew this would be nothing more then showing titles coming in the next 12 months.

Actual title of the livestream: "Inside Xbox Presents First Look Xbox Series X Gameplay "

If the whole point is to show us next-gen gameplay, then what was shown is most definitely not it. Could have had something that looked as impressive as Ryse: Son of Rome or a Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 but nope, here are some trailers for games that could have launched on Steam last year or the year before.

I recognize Microsoft can only work with what they got, but this felt like an extension of the existing generation's content catalog, which failed at selling me their current console. Certainly, this isn't a decision maker, but it also didn't excite me on the prospect of buying their next box.

Thought Yakuza 7 was an exclusive for PS4? Looks like it got moneyhatted away from the PlayStation Shores. Oh well ... overall lackluster show, lag everywhere ... due like 500,000 who were watching it on YT, Twtich, Mixer.

Need HQ trailers, but based on the teaser i liked Scorn ... though that one reminds me of Agony ...

Nah just Phil's daily trips to Japan. Plus the earlier games are hitting Gamepass, it only made sense.

@thread
The best part of the video was the refrigerator joke

...I have interest in just the Bandai game, the Medium one Dirt is more of the same, so...
A game that shits on comunist regimes? hmmmm...

Some people may not like this
Only haha reactions

Reading all the comments, it sounds like an utter shitshow!
If you didnt watch it and plan on watching a replay, just watch the first 5 minutes where they show this cloudy FPS. I forget what its called.

After watching that clip, don't bother with the rest.

Edit: Watch the first and third games. Then skip the rest. Definitely skip the second game where you're in big grey ruins.

inside xbox still sucks, thankfully, this all were cross gen games, so expected, but... BIT, they could have teased exclusives..., now we have to wait 2 more months until july.. wtf

Yeah I did too, but it's too bad all the Sony fans trolling in here didn't enjoy it. I'm sure if this had been a Sony presentation they'd be ecstatic about it.

if this would be the line up for PS4 that would be ok. But we are talking about next-gen. Those are cross-gen titles. If this gets you excited, good for you but don´t act like people can´t voice their opinion that this was a weak demonstration in terms of true next-gen titles

Diminishing Returns. I don't know what everyone was expecting. Graphics are awesome, but they already were. It's time to focus on more important things for playing games - framerate and loading times.

Call me crazy but shouldn't Microsoft's first look into next gen have been a first look into their exclusives and showing the world why they need an xbox series x over a playstation, i mean first impressions mean alot, i bet when sony unveils they show a couple of their big exclusives mixed in with big triple a games.

100%, they should have gone in with a first-party game that could take advantage of the hardware rather than these cross-gen looking games.

Minus AC maybe and you could have easily believed all those would have run on the One X

Breaking news, we are getting word of a hype train derailment, number of fatalites unknown at this point

The fanboy cringe is too much to handle. It's actually down right embarrassing. It was an okay showcase but the hyperbole is fucking childish.

sadly resolution doesnt make dirt 5 any better look. it looks aged allready.

Is because they never change the engine since Xbox 360.
Ego engine is almost freeze in time with little improves compared with other racing game engine.

I can't even get why people are hyped about the 4k60/1080p120. Dirty was never a very taxing franchise.

What are you talking about? These were basically all cross-platform games. We are talking about PS5 too when we say they were underwhelming.

That was seriously rough. Did more to promote "Microsoft Teams" than Xbox .

By the way.... can we knock it off with the horrible video and audio quality schtick!? This is what we're supposed to be virtue signalling now - that we're stuck in our houses!? You can get a better microphone from amazon for 15 dollars. Come on.

Xbox is to blame for setting expectations and completely falling short of them. Whether its Xbox, Playstation, or Nintendo, they would all deserve criticism for advertising one thing and delivering another.

Not all criticism is fueled by childish fanboy wars, sometimes things are simply shit.

Microsoft are so far behind, they can't afford to drop the ball even once

But here we are

What a waste of time, most games (indie and low to mid budget titles) didn't look like a big improvement from current gen titles and AC Valhalla looks visually inferior to RDR2 due to the Anvil Next engine's outdated lightning tech... and don't get me started on the Silent Hill (The Medium) and Astral Chain (Scarlett Nexus) rip-offs by Blooper and Bandai Namco. Pathetic.

The game with an isometrical perspective looks like fun tho and the first game debuted on the show has a lot of merit, as it was developed by a single person.

I like co-op games, so The Ascent and Second Extinction were my favorite parts of the show. Especially since they showed some actual gameplay.

I was expecting boring interviews, well at least half of the content was trailers.
Some games are looking promising.

I don't understand why so much are disappointed.
Next gen will have better visuals and frame rates and worlds will be bigger.
It will be a follow up of this gen (which was a follow up of last gen etc)
The jump is equivalent as last gen to this gen.
Games won't take full advantage of next gen until 2 to 3 years.

Maybe it's my age or something, all I saw was pretty and that's all I wanted.
