Bold statements today from Sweden and the people running the show, herd immunity can be established with as low as 40% of people having immunity, which Stockholm region, Sweden will reach in June.

It is supported by the national health supervisor and several professors, Sweden's chief pandemologist says Stockholm will reach it first, and it shows that you don't have to close everything down to reach a low R number and slow the spread enough to reach herd immunity.

Can't find any sources in english, it's relying on a study done by Stockholm University (https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/qLaEwO/flockimmunitet-kan-nas-redan-vid-40-procent-ger-hopp, the study, done byTom Britton together with Pieter Trapman from the institute of mathematics at Stockholm University and Frank Ball at University of Nottingham, a team at the university of Liverpool have reached even lower numbers needed, but is seen as too optimistic.)

They area also stating that the danger is nowhere near over with, and people should keep respecting the guidelines put in place (social distancing, no gatherings, don't visit old people, stay home if you feel sick (you get sickpay from the first day as part of the packages), no crowds in stores, no service at bars, avoid visiting people, basically, quarantine if you can). More studies and peer reviews are being done, more reports will land next week.

They are also warning of a second wave during the fall, as other nations open up.

Big news if correct but I am still reserving judgement, it does seem we haven't gotten large spikes like Italy, or Spain, it's been a slow and steady burn, with the unfortunate big numbers in the elderly population, but it seems too good to be true. Explanation for so many elderly falling victim, they didn't close the elderly homes, it's that simple, and they didn't stop gatherings/events/visits to them, but also, the elderly have been very nonchalant about it, imho, they seem to be going on almost as business as usual, it's really in the last 4 weeks that the elderly have taken notice of their higher death toll. The lack of protective gear for the care takers has also been a huge issue.

Great that it is being talked about.

It's been quite hush-hush the past months talking about vitamin D deficiency because it could offend certain stratum of our societies.
People with weak immune systems. Somehow i don't think old people would really care, but it ain't old people we're talking about.. Like talking about it would somehow remind "them" that "they" haven't been taking personal responsibility for their own health.

All my life i've been told a table spoon of cod oil a day -keeps the doctor away.

Been taking this all my life - born i the mid 70's btw. As far as i can recall - i've had the "flu" 2 times in all my life.

Is it a cure for Covid19 - no, will it guarantee you'll not catch Covid19, no, will it help you immune system. definitely.

In northern Europe it's quite common that dairy products are "spiced up" with vitamin D - this is because of the lack of sunlight during the winter months.

Northern hemisphere will kill you if you don't adapt, especially places where lack of natural sunlight occurs over a longer period of time.
I'm willing to bet my left nut that when the annals of this disease is written, - lack of vitamin D in certain stratum of the the population which again caused an over representation of deaths in that population will get a mention. .... It will be "Big Societies" fault that it happened of course, it always is.

I think I have the Coronavirus even though I can't really get tested as of yet.

I have had the following conditions for at least 5 days since Tuesday:

Hard of Breathing, Tiredness, Soreness in Muscles, Pain where the back of my Lungs are, Diarrhoea, Heart Palpitations and consistent Dizziness. It is actually worse when I sit down or lay on my back and a numbness in my legs sometimes. Been trying to do deep breaths and stand up for a small while and calm myself down.

I am a 30 year Male that exercises (or at least I have tried to in these last 4 weeks), no underlying conditions (only Aspergers), and have been eating mostly healthy foods when I can.

I would say that this is a mild version of the Illness if I do have it, but I haven't had a Fever as far as I know.

I wouldn't like anyone else to get it if this is the mild version. :(

Keep Safe whenever possible.

Edit: I have had the Flu back in 2014 and it was horrible as well, but I could at least breathe better and slept for 2 days before recovering, I think my parents have had it for weeks and still have some dizziness.

I read your updated conditions on the other page. First, I want to say I am terribly sorry about what you’re going through. I’ll be praying for you. Seriously, big hug.

I know from my own experience it can last weeks. Damn near killed me. I’m still not sure I’m completely over it. Still having issues with breathing and I caught this thing months ago. Don’t try to exercise or do anything that will make breathing harder (chores). I get wanting to do your part, but it’ll only make it worse. In addition to an inhaler, if you can get a nebulizer machine and get both DuoNeb and Albuetrol solutions that will help. Give your lungs a fighting chance.

Big hugs, lots of hugs.

I don't see how it's not legitimate to be frustrated by those things. This isn't me complaining my wifi went down for 20 minutes, it's everyone in society not being able to get basic goods and services hat we've always been able to get.

This is just me personally, but the last thing I would be worrying, or caring about in a global pandemic™, would be trying to return a pair of shoes that doesn't fit.

How I'll be getting them bills paid with no work and/or having food on the table, would be top priority problems.

You're not wrong that other people have more pressing concerns. I'm grateful every single day that I still have my job and have been largely unaffected by this situation, but I think it's still legitimate be frustrated that we are not able to access basic goods and services people have had access to for generations, particularly when I'm of the opinion that the lockdowns are misguided in the first place and we shouldn't even be having to deal with this.

Another update on my Parent's Covid:

My dad said he is continuing to feel much better, although he says coughing still persists. But judging by how much more active he is getting, I'm going to assume the "pain" he use to have is nearly gone.

That said, I still talked to my workplace and they extended my quarantine by another two weeks. I'm still skeptical about how this virus works, especially after reading stories from South Korea where there are claims of the virus reactivating in patients. Morally speaking, I don't want to infect any of my co-workers, even if 14 days is suppose to make it ok to come back.

I enjoyed watching that video like I enjoyed watching those old 9/11 conspiracy theories back in the day, but some of the stuff she was saying was pretty outlandish. Like her claim that masks are bad for you because the virus you breathe out go back into your mouth or something? We know that's nonsense. Or that the grand conspiracy was to infect everyone around the world and then drop a vaccine on them... What?

Is that actually Jordan Peterson tweeting? I remember hearing reports that he was basically braindead.

I can't attest to whether it's actually him pressing the tweet button, but he's not braindead. He's been recovering from his benzo detox and has been posting new photos and whatnot.

If the care homes continue to get hammered then that will take a toll on the staff. People who work in care homes aren’t highly educated nor are they well paid. They’re just not equipped physically and mentally to go months on end in an outbreak situation.

So can someone explain this?

How does China report 1 new case a day? There's a billion people but only one person ever gets sick?

c96IpYb.png

Meanwhile, Canada, Peru or India is going to be the next country to likely surpass them. India keep in mind, also has a billion people.

I'm getting a major case of "tales from my ass".

Basically, the entire world could report much greater numbers but the country where the outbreak first happened would remain the lowest? WTF?

China is so full of shit. The fucking thing originated there, it's densely packed as hell yet it's not even top 10 in the world in total cases? GTFOH.
It would only make sense if they had a vaccine. I remember a while ago, they posted a video of all the nurses taking their masks off in Wuhan.

Yet why would they do that when we know the virus hasn't been eliminated? Something is really weird...

To save face to people dumb enough (or intimidated enough) to believe it.

Could be propaganda, who knows. Even if they developed a vaccine in secret, they'd have to vaccinate billions of people and it wouldn't have been in testing long enough to know how reliable it is or if there were any after effects.

FUCK THE WHO
What did you just say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I have been one of the greatest pop and rock artists for over 50 years, have earned millions of dollars and have infused myself into the sonic dna of everyday life. That chord progression in that Taylor Swift song ‘Trouble’ that you hate? I invented it, and did it better, you better you better you bet. That heavy metal and electronic music you bop your head to? All dat came from deez nuts! You ain’t got no culture without me, never had, never will. And don’t bother trying to argue, if you listen to my 1969 rock opera opus Tommy, you will see that I have seen and traced all of the way down to the eminence front being puts on nothingness. I made the loudest rock band of all time and I am not afraid to pick you up with a tornado of whirling windmill powerchords, blow out your eardrums, and dump you back in that teenage wasteland you belong in. When I get through with you, you won’t know what day it is, who Jesus was or what praying is. How can you be saved? So why don’t you just f...f...fade away? L.I.M.P just say it.

Numbers mean nothing if the method of collaborating them is different. Here in the UK, deaths are only counted if the body is tested for the virus, or the person has been tested before death. Suspected deaths are not counted. Given we have been barely testing anyone, all the figures in that table are inaccurate. Experts predict the death count to actually be 2x that figure currently.

One of Dr. Campbell's videos indicated that per MI6, China was under reporting by a factor of 3-4 at least, I think - unfortunately, I don't recall which video this was, but it should have been within the last 7 days some time

Boris has revealed the new UK slogans ahead of tonight’s presser. The previous one (Stay Home > Protect the NHS > Save Lives) was succesful beyond belief, in fact, one of the main reasons for the new slogan is that the old one worked too well in terrorising Brits to not do anything at all.

Stay Alert is pretty abstract compared to Stay Home, and Control the virus is less emotionally relatable than Protect the NHS.

he finally won I ordered some Vitamin D from Amazon

I hardly get any sun

It's an absolute no brainer IMO. I work from home, only get the chance to go out once a day to exercise, and I bought some 4000IU/100mcg vitamin D tablets for very little, less than £10 for two years worth of supply. I pop one of these per day before going out.

Incidentally, more media reports from Germany's ongoing issues.

It is a simple answer really. They silence/kill/expel anyone who shows symptoms and leave 1 person alive with it who is a higher up in the CCP. :)

It worked until around last week, where people in my area are not Social Distancing in a Park and on Channel 4 during an Interview in London, there were 100s of people on the Streets not Social Distancing and are even walking BEHIND the Journalist without masks on as if the Virus has gone.

I can see the numbers going back up in 2 weeks because of these morons. The plan should be to strongly advice staying at home whilst lifting a small amount of restrictions. Call it Phase 2 and advertise that it is not over yet and act as though the virus is everywhere.

Tell_men Tell_men Thanks for your kind words. I am fighting it everyday and have good amd bad days. Today seems to be okay with coughs starting to come out. Hoping it stays like this over pains. :)
