PS5 for first party games and Xbox Series X for 3rd party games?

1. It's actually 12.15 vs. 10.3. People like to omit the .15 to make the difference seem smaller on here.
2. PS5 doesn't do everything as there are 15 XGS studios.
3. $70 games will make Game Pass even better. Oh and all games from those 15 studios will launch on Game Pass.

As a game fan, idk how you can forgo at least an XSS if you don't have a PC. You'll be missing out on a lot of great games.
Gamepass is basic cable. I don't see any 3rd parties doing an aaa launch on it. Gamepass is straight to dvd of games. No theatre banging those games at launch.

No doubt.

Looks much better than this

PS5 for everything.

Only way I'm picking up a Series X is if someone gave it to me. I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for it, cause 50 bucks is a lot of money for something I don't want.

I've been hearing that 3rd party games will run better on the Xbox series X versus the PS5 which was the case this gen with Ps4 pro vs the One X.

Is anyone else considering getting both consoles because of this?

Yeah, but difference is pretty smaller now. This is not FUD. Anyway, it's up to you

Nah you see, I own a PS4 and soon a PS5. You're the fanboy here. Explaining to us how a game console is useless. Lmao
When did I say console gaming is useless? The PS4 and Switch are great and I have little doubt the PS5 will be great.

The Xbox is useless, not console gaming.

You and all the legions of Xbots claiming they own a gaming PC with a 2080 Ti but still play on Xbox because of the couch lol.

I game 90% on my 1X in my HTR. Why? Because my brother plays on 1X along with most of my my buddies, it's simply easier w/ everyone on console. And I'll be doing the same with the XSX. At this rate, the few PS5 games that I'll end up wanting to play are bound to come to PC (cheaper too), so I have no problem waiting.

I'd wait to see the difference.
If it ends up being something major and performance oriented like "60fps on Series X, 30 Fps on Ps5" I'd consider it.

If series X just runs at higher resolutions or has slightly better visuals or slightly fewer frame drops I honestly don't give a shit.
Would be the same as Xb1X vs Pro. I just haven't seen the sort of differences that make me want to pick up a 1X just to play third party stuff. I honestly don't care if some third party games look better on the 1X as long as they still look nice on my Pro.

getting a series x, but becoming more and more tempted to get ps5 (only had ps4 this gen) just due to how much MS is fucking this up

So buying a PC that's going to cost you at least three times as much isn't even more foolish? You make no sense. I do have a PC as well but mostly for mods and classic games. But for people who don't care about those things, an XSX is fine.
You make sense, new games with new hardware is risky and even more on the pc platform , early adopters pay the price for trouble shooting in advance and by the time all the issues been fixed they become dated by newer high demanding games , the platform is broken in many ways and I don't see any reason to spend on top tier hardware.

Why bother? The difference will be meaningless.

If you really want best third party you get the 3080ti in a few months. Gamepass and all Xbox first party is on PC.

MS literally doesn't want you to get a series X. From Their own mouths.

Lets see:

PS5
Exclusives and great games
Better controller
Better OS
Better store
No hail to the Phil bullshit
90% identical 3rd party
No loading screens

Xsex
Hail to the Phil pass
Craig
Same 3rd party
Retard stick placement
6-8s loading with current gen games

Hard to choose indeed.
Fuck outta here with this stupid shit.

I'll get both, PS5 for most games.

Xbox for its first party and gamepass.

Even if XSX is more powerful, there are lots of other factors why I'd still buy/play most games on PS5.

I don't think the differences will be distinguishable, for the majority of third-party games, unless you get out the DF microscope. If you're feeling tempted to pay $500+ because you think the differences will be substantial, I'd suggest you wait for 6 to 8 actual comparisons of third-party games, then decide whether those differences are worth the price.

If you have that money to waste, go for it.

But if that is legitimately what you want an XSX for then check yourself.

This generation will see the emergence of the people who can spot the difference between 1800p and 4K from 10 feet away.

It's been banging all month..I play more than AAA. Besides to me, Undermine, Flight Simulator, and Wasteland 3 are just as fun as any game. I played the first two and the third is getting rave reviews. It's kay to be jelly. Babe

I'd pay for flight simulator. I have 5.0 6.0 1998, 2000, 2001, 2004, and X. The game is the cheapest component of the experience. The real cost is paying for the computer and the components to really bang that fucker out. That and the expansions.

Wasteland 3? Eh. That's gonna discount. Undermine? More indie stuff.

But Flight Sim is a banger. It bangs harder than Jenna Haze and the midgets.

And Jelly? I have over a thousand games and I haven't touched most of them. I have enough games to last me until I'm dead. I don't have time to play what I have right now. And you want to put me on some buffet line cable bullshit? Fuck that. I would say gamepass is good for kids or teenagers that have all the time in the world to play everything and platinum that shit much like how back in the day fifteen years ago I had friends 100% that Hanna Montana game for the gamerscore. Or King Kong on 360.

Well then say you don't have the time. Don't say BS. There are plenty of awesome games on it and you don't know what Xbox has for launch or the reviews scores so you're just talking. Rip to your gaming time. I have all the time in the world cause my job rocks. So Game Pass is a pass for you, and amazing for me, especially if games are going to $70 a piece next gen.

Some Indy games are better than so called AAA as well.

PC + Playstation that's the combo that since I started working I have been using. I won't change that next gen.

Throw in a Nintendo in the mix if you enjoy it.

Until 3rd party devs stop cross gen development just get a PS5.
3 years down the road when cross gen stops, we shall see, by then I'd say have PS5 for Sony Exclusives and multiplats. Get a Xbox Series S for Exclusives imo.

Nah, just to you. Making statements as if they're universal facts is useless. You add nothing to any Xbox thread. Trolling is all you're good for here.

Get new glasses, you prescription is out of date.

Peep his avatar. He's being sarcastic.

This gen was already ps4 only, next will be even more favourable to PlayStation.

I think games are taking longer and longer to make so it will be pretty similar for PS. Besides Demons Souls Remake at least (fuk ya). Xbox on the other hand will be firing off from the XGS cannon finally so there should be a big improvement from this gen. Of course, if you're a fanboy and not a game fan, it doesn't matter so carry on.

This isn't an Xbox thread so get lost.

I am stating the Xbox is useless as a console and a secondary one especially.

And don't be daft. I am writing these posts so these are obviously my opinions. I don't need to say they are. You're clever enough to figure that out.

Probably just Ps5 & PC for everything. No point getting a Series X or Series S if you have a decent enough system considering Xbox exclusives will be on PC too going forward

You're saying dated stuff bro , at least come up with updated informations

My my I can't wait for the next gen head to head third party where there is literally no difference in the way they look.

No, this time around it's going to be that you buy a console for the games you want and you play third party games on the console you have. There will likelihood be less of a discrepancy in the number of blades of grass that nobody counts anyway.

Playstation is good for first party.

Anything else is better on Xbox. 3rd party game, long lasting battery life and long charging cable, quiet and sturdy console, snappy interface, strong and intuitive media support, accessible communities, great sales, overall better performance and resolution, gamepass, expansive accessories support, customizable UI to your liking and preferences, in-game gamepass perks, really strong backward capability, fantastic collaboration with Sega to bring PSO2 to NA...

So I don't know for you people, but at the end of the day, what do you prefer? This or an handful of 15 hours, single player action adventures first party game. Xbox lack in that department but they have the advantage in their online gaming and community.

Xbox biggest quality always been imo, its ability to change over the years and trying new exciting things, updating its console UI each six months or so, bringing new functionality and making it feels new again. I can still play the first exciting 360 game online just like its era, or morrowind or ninja garden black using my old og Xbox game, now in 4k 60fps. What I'm trying to say is that the range is crazy. No matter what you like, there is certainly something for everyone and I mean it. The adaptive controller? Check. It's the all in one console.
