- Make a solid marketing strategy focusing in a single powerful console.
- Forget about cross-gen support... new generation = new start.
- Focus in exclusives games for their platform instead promises.
- Show games running in the actual hardware they want to sell.
- Gamepass is awesome plus to these that are already into the platform... try first to sell your hardware and late sell Gamepass to these.
- Avoid to marketing using toxic fans.

I can go on.

Phil talk talk did basically everything what you can't do in a new generation launch.

do you think 50 bucks (like pictured above) is enough incentive for the mainstream to drop the ability to buy discs at a retailer discount or even used? or even sell?
personally I don't think its enough, therefore I expect either a bigger price difference between them OR the disc version in very minimal availability.

I can see sales over the Lifetime of PS5 being slanted 60% PS5 DE vs 40% Standard PS5. I think in some countries and collectors will carry the Standard Edition of PS5 sales. I think at launch a lot of hardcore gamers might get the Standard PS5. But I believe people with Good Internet and No data caps will jump on the PS5 DE. But I believe in America and Most parts of Europe DE PS5 will sale like gang busters.

ohw man, i know this stuff only gets clicked on by the early adopters but damn this must be heartbreaking for Phil and the likes. What more can he do? PS must seriously fuck up their games and make the console at least 200 dollar more expensive than the series x for them to let this sure win go. PS4 just has too much momentum.

They have 2 options.

1. Go head to head with PlayStation and beat them with games - unlikely, would also take years.
2. Pull a Nintendo and just make your own lane - Game Pass, cheaper console, PC/phones, services, etc.

They're going for option 2.

Can't get over the visuals on Forbidden West... Look at the vegetation, the rocks. This is world building, making the player (or even the spectator) to feel the fictional world around the protagonist as if it were real

A coworker of mine was rambling about how amazing the new Xbox looks and how the Series S is so much more powerful than the PS5. He then starts talking about how Sony is struggling to get the PS5 under $900. What the heck are these people reading? Just the other month my brother was freaking out too, thinking the PS5 would be $700.

Hopefully the show stops all this nonsense.

These are people that are into gaming themselves, but have no idea where to actually go for legit information. It's always a case of they "heard" something somewhere. This is usually followed up by one console being wAy more powerful than the other. In many cases they may actually know where to look for legit information, but are afraid the truth will dull their fanboy expectations.

People are going to be surprised when as always they realize some of what they showed (little snippets) was actual gameplay before. With Sony it akways happens, been happening since Uncharted 2/days when ppl didn't believe but it actually was gameplay.

I haven't talked much about price, so here's are my thoughs:

More likely/expected: PS5 Disk = 499 , PS5 Digital = 399

Anything less would be a surprising thing, and good for us.

Above 500 would a bit risky, PS has best exclusive, but price is still very important. One of the reason Nintendo still sell a lot of their hardware, despite having ultra outdated hardware, but their cheaper price help a lot (yes yes i know even tho their price technically is expansive for what it is lol, but casual people doesn't know shit about that)

In any case, gonna be dope event, can't wait.
