The PS4 in all regions shipped with power supplies that do support 100-240V at 50 or 60 Hz. We have no reason to believe it'll be different here. As for the plug, you can either get an adapter or just use a US power cable.

I've never seen a retailer fail like this before.

They were the last store in the U.S. to go live with the preorders, and then the experience was a disaster. The site looked like it was under attack by Russian-backed hackers and I had problems even buying Miles Morales with my Reward Zone points.

As I mentioned above, the PS4 shipped with a power supply that worked in either region. I have a Paris-bought PS4 plugged in my home this very second. I don't think it'll be any different with the PS5, though of course I can't guarantee it.

I think best buy should get cut some slack. Even Amazon (who internally boasts about never going down) went down very briefly when the NES classic first when on sale. There is too much demand. Any web service can get taken down with enough traffic. I missed out too.

On Amazon the PS4 was made available for preorder the same moment the price was announced by Sony at their conference, and it wasn't the shitshow of the PS5. I remember it very well because I ordered one from them.
