Just got my Digital PS5 from Best Buy! Got it in cart, took 50 minutes of non stop clicking through the purchase process to get it to go through. If you get it in cart, keep trying! I had to go from pick up in store to shipping 6x before finally getting it to ship on Nov 12.

I've never bought a console on Amazon, how's their customer service / warranty plan ? Because I'm refreshing Amazon's page and Mediamarkt's as well just in case . Thanks for the info btw.

I live in germany checked 7 am all big brands including amazon were sold out^^ I get a notification from amazon if additonal stock is availble lets hope it will.I bet Phil's got a Series S ready with your name on it ...
But seriously, today is the official preorder day so all of the stores will be taking more Pre-orders especially Amazon.

I can confirm I finally got through. Had to keep trying on the submit final confirmation page but it eventually went through and I got a confirmation email.
Edit: Used the paypal option.

Try with PayPal if possible. I know I'm going to sound like a scalper but I tried again with the digital version so my bro can pick between the two. After 10 minutes I switched to PayPal again and it only took 3 tries after, just like before.

Took 3 hours of persistence but got through to order the full physical/accessories bundle from BB. Here's hoping no mishaps come Nov. 12

Hot damn, almost as bad as buying concert tickets heh. Finally got an order in with Best Buy, started when I woke up around 4:45 (it's midnight now), was able to get to the place order screen a couple different times. I had tried PayPal earlier but it didn't work, tried changing from debit to PayPal and bam! Got my confirmation email and everything.
Would have preferred Amazon but had a small work fire to put out around the time they dropped. Keep at it GAF friends, snag 'em before those other idiots get a chance

After three hours and nine minutes, I was finally able to complete the checkout process at Best Buy. However, despite the in-site confirmation that followed the transaction - as well as the corresponding text message, email, and pending charge on my account - the console doesn't appear in my order history. The only recent orders in my order history are an additional controller, the media remote, charging station, camera, and 3D wireless headset.

Unfortunately so, which is stupid. I've done preorders on the Nintendo UK store (imports to US) and when I do paypal, I'm never charged until two days prior to release. US branch of paypal needs to adopt the same policy...

Fedex is shipping this. Fuck, in that case I will probably switch to in-store pickup (if I don't cancel altogether). They screw me every time they deliver something that requires a signature, as they are not consistent at all when they are going to show up and having to take a day off work to sign for anything I'm expecting is a pain in the ass.

Anyhow, I'm wondering whether or not the first "batch" of pre-orders are guaranteed whereas later "batches," to which mine belongs, aren't guaranteed because they don't correspond to actual stock but correspond to an expectation of additional stock.
I'm also wondering whether or not there's more stock than there is demand and we've all unnecessarily frustrated ourselves because we stormed these sites simultaneously. What if people are still able to pre-order guaranteed stock for several subsequent days? We will all have made fools of ourselves.

So quick question regarding the all digital PS5: I currently have a wide selection of digitaly bought games as well as physical. I noticed on some games that altough I have the physical version bought, I can digitaly download the game from my library on my PS4 without using the disc.
How exactly does this work? Do all physical games give you the digital download for free or is this only a first party Sony thing?
I´m thinking about going with the digital version but I´m unsure about some games that I really would like to take to the next gen but I only have them in physical form.

This reminds me of a glitch you could use on the xbox store website a year or two ago to buy from their Argentinian marketplace (like 90% cheaper). you would just put in your card and spam the enter button 700 times until the order went through without giving you a location error.

My assumption is that they wouldn't change the shipment date because they don't know what another date would he and/ or expect additional stock to become available by the original shipment date.
