.... So yup bday today and finding out we might have to put the family dog down and one of my first bdays where my best friend won't even hang with me.

First, sorry to hear about your situation.

Second, if the decision needs to be made, talk to your vet to see if they offer in-home services or can recommend someone that has those services. It will be a much more comfortable situation for your pet and your family.

Chin up and remember the good times and companionship.
 
It sucks man. My cat Anna I've had for 15 years, she's 18 now and has pretty bad arthritis and needs a lot more help with grooming and getting around. Now it's just about trying to give her the best easy life possible. Nothing but fancy feast, and playing string, which she lays down to play but still gets a little fire in her paps sometimes.

Nothing can replace your dog and I hope your friend stops being a prick for your sake but despite all the negatives... Happy Birthday. 😘😘😘
 
Sorry about your dog. I've been around animals, mostly dogs, since I was baby so I know what it's like to lose a friend.
 
I'm real close to calling the suicide hotline. Not that I would do anything but I think I'm near a mental breakdown.

It sucks but at least take solace in the fact that you'll be there for your dog if you do have to make that decision. My boy got poisoned and passed away while I was overseas so I couldn't even be there.

Just checked the thread. Don't kill yourself. You die then there is nothing. 2020 is trash and you're only 20, the story isn't over yet. The hard times are hitting now but there is so much joy and new adventures to be had in the future. Keep living.

I wouldn't kill myself. I'm far too scared to do that which is why I mentioned I wouldn't do anything but I am close to another breakdown.
