Both are great but the lack of hardcore Bloodborne love makes me weep for many of you. Go find salvation with the healing church you non BB voting heathens.
why love the inferior souls experiences ? because they are exclusives ?Both are great but the lack of hardcore Bloodborne love makes me weep for many of you. Go find salvation with the healing church you non BB voting heathens.
"Lack" it's probably the most talked about game in the tournamentBoth are great but the lack of hardcore Bloodborne love makes me weep for many of you. Go find salvation with the healing church you non BB voting heathens.
It is regrettable we did not get the matchup that we all deserved.... Genshin Impact vs BOTWNintendoGAF is going to avenge SonyGAF.
When people say The Witcher 3 combat is awful I just laugh because they clearly didn't play the game in Death March difficulty.
My 2nd playthrough was in Death March and boy was it good. You actually have to put skill points into the Alchemy tree. You have to study the bestiary to prepare for most fights, you have to drink the correct potions, coat your blade with the correct oils, use different bombs for each different foe. The combat is super deep.
Anyways I voted for The Witcher 3. Easily the best game of the generation for me.

They didn't play a game like The Witcher 1 either, which had an ungodly combat system spawned from the jankier parts of Hell that devolved into rhythmic clicking. Didn't stop that game from being great either.
I personally don't mind it that much either. We're used to that type of shit on PCI actually didn't mind Witcher's combat though I do remember how divided the reception to it was. I think GFW talked about it back in the day.

that stopped me every time i tried. They didn't play a game like The Witcher 1 either, which had an ungodly combat system spawned from the jankier parts of Hell that devolved into rhythmic clicking. Didn't stop that game from being great either.
It was actually such a good game. CDPR started off on solid footing straight away.Witcher combat was so strange and yet so satisfying*. PC gamers put up with a lot of strange shit to play games and I wouldn't have it any other way.
*it was great when it was over.
Yeah, and now it might be a bit late to revisit it. It was definitely good for its time.that stopped me every time i tried.
People keep saying witcher 3 has had a huge impact on open world games. But it came out over 5 years ago and I'm scratching my head at what it is. I'm not criticising W3 in this regard, I just want to know what other people think that impact is and where we can see it? I played through all three witcher games and can't think of any innovation they brought to the rpg genre outside of just having high production values.
BotW is the best RPG of all-time
Lmao Cyberpunk even don't get out yet. And yes, Fallout for me is a RPG.Does Fallout have magic? Or Cyberpunk? Or Disco Elysium? Being a RPG has nothing to do with Swords and Magic settings either.
Cyberpunk 2020 came out in 1988. Either way, if you agree with Fallout you get the pointLmao Cyberpunk even don't get out yet. And yes, Fallout for me is a RPG.
Keep in mind that what me or you say is just basics.Cyberpunk 2020 came out in 1988. Either way, if you agree with Fallout you get the point

Gamers don't usally are smart thinking about mechanics, at least from today standarts.
Open worlds are AC clones, plataforms are stupid metrovania term and any difficult game is a souls game.
I don't really get what you're trying to say here, but all i'm doing is try and stick with the origins of western RPG in tabletop role playing games as the proper definition, with some amount of leeway of course.Keep in mind that what me or you say is just basics.

It's so fucking close, why is this going until the 19th looolll
If what you're trying to say here is that calling games like Fallout a RPG is just gamers expanding the definition stupidly, like calling everything souls-like or metroidvania, be aware that you're very wrong. Tabletop RPGs, which western electronic rpgs based themselves on, were never tied to a swords and magic setting:I'll remind you guys when a new game get called metrovania souls clone.
For now, lets agree to disagree.
Also wrong. It was great at the time, very satisfying visually and you could do some pretty amazing combos with signs. They didn't play a game like The Witcher 1 either, which had an ungodly combat system spawned from the jankier parts of Hell that devolved into rhythmic clicking. I did get into the whole game, including the combat system at the time and enjoyed it thoroughly. It just hasn't aged that well for modern sensibilities, especially with CDPR moving onto bigger and, arguably, better things. Also wrong. Of course, if people are so dumb to just spend all the game just rythm-clicking, they would rate it poorly. But that's on those special type of people.
are you saying that rythm only is to witcher 1 what wirhlwind and quen is for witcher 3 ?Also wrong. It was great at the time, very satisfying visually and you could do some pretty amazing combos with signs.

Prey is also one of my favorite games ever, so, yes, it looks like we are worlds apart. Is it so unimaginable? TW3 jumped in my top 10 all time and BB does not make my top 100.
I consider the game in your avatar utter garbage for example. To each its own, as they say XD
I'm just having fun here. You sure you know what game are you talking about here?

Famitsu gave 35/40 to Sonic Forces.BB got a 36/40 from Famitsu and Witcher 3, a Western RPG, made it out with a 37/40.
Famitsu gave 35/40 to Sonic Forces.
Which just goes on to show their partiality towards JP titles. Any half-decent, stilted Gust Mahou Shoujo sim game scores higher than most Western titles.
