What is the status of your next-gen pre-order?

This is Amazon we are talking about, they are usually on point with getting orders filled at least 90% of the time for me so I am confident they will come through.

Crying in the corner cause I didn't think I'd care (I waited to upgrade from PS3 to PS4 for a few months).

Now I really want that sweet upscaling of my PS4 backlog. PS4 Pro just doesn't compare.

In nearly every game launch thread there's a handful of people saying they won't get their game until later in the week.

Bunch of people reached Amazon customer support and the word is they don't have enough XSX too fulfill all the pre-order. They will continue to ship them as they come and expect all pre-order to be fulfilled by December 31....

Same for PS5 but we were already aware of this.

This launche's gonna be a shit show I'm telling you.
 
Well today my xbox series X was for NO REASON cancelled by Amazon UK, it was pre ordered sept 22nd...payment option has plenty of cash in it, i got in touch with them and they said they have had issues with allocation of stock.... i was thinking about cancelling last week due to covid and been furloughed but my partner offered to buy my ps5 pre order due 19th.

absolutely gutted.

Amazon will be shipping most of the accessories and games at the same time that the consoles come out, people just need to relax.

Last week everyone was crying about not getting a excepted ship date from Amazon, which they have updated last week. Now its "why didn't the console ship yet" ..... we all just need to relax and wait and see how everything plays out.

I never got an expected shipping date and console is supposed to ship tomorrow.

Walmart is supposed to have another batch of PS5s available on the 12th, I'm hoping I can grab one since I didn't manage to on the first round.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm gonna be staking out Wal-mart and my LGS.

Best Buy is up the road 20 min so idk if I want to bother with the drive. If I remember though, the PS4 was impossible to find online until almost January.

Sony said they will only be avaliable online or in store pickup, so I wouldnt bother going to a store with hopes of finding one. I bet if Walmart is getting another allotment on the 12th though, other retailers will too so just be ready with that refresh key.
 
My Series X Preorder with Amazon hasn't moved and is still in Wait for an Email stage. :( Looking less likely I will get one for launch at this point. Are other sites putting them up for sale on Launch day to avoid lines at stores?

Same situation here. I won't lose out hope entirely until about early-mid afternoon tomorrow, then I'll start considering arriving super early/camping at a microcenter
 
If the retailer that you pre-ordered from uses Fedex, you can see if they already begun the shipping process here:

Solutions2 Go is a distributer that Walmart uses I believe and I can see that they started the process for my PS5 pre-order.
 
1st Series X: Pre-Ordered from Base Exchange, sent to fulfillment center, customer service said it'll get there when it gets there pretty much... blamed it on COVID for shipment delays (even though the website says that it would have shipped on the 4th of November)

2nd Series X: Preordered from Target, 16 November deliver date, gave me 15% off the price, so I'm not complaining about that one

If it hasn't shipped by the morning maybe, but I wouldn't worry just yet. I preorder movies all the time from Amazon and they usually don't ship till around 5am CST Mondays for a Tuesday delivery

In Japan it`s completely lottery based.

Tried to get a PS5 on launch, but was not lucky enough.

Re-applied for after launch, between November the 20th and December the 6th, but again, it`s lottery based and not guaranteed...this sucks.
 
I wish Sony and MS would do like Apple and let you preorder even if they don't have it in stock at the moment but just push the dates back. Or do a queue like EVGA with their RTX 3000 series cards.
 
i am going to be extremely pissed if walmart delays me pre order or cancels it cus of low stock even though they will be selling the console online on launch day.. they better not pull that shit

I also talked to Walmart support again today, said the same thing they told me two weeks ago: shipping on the 10th, arriving on the 12th
 
Finally got my final invoice from Sony Direct. Says it'll arrive on the 12th. Hope it works out for everybody else here, and sorry for those that have received bad news. Hopefully restocks come swiftly.
 
Didn't know there was so many troubles getting pre-orders. Best buy has been killing it, have an appointment, had their associate call me from the local store with step by step instructions on Tuesday, going to be easy peasy
 
Got an email from Amazon saying i'll get release date delivery of the XSX and a PS5 Pulse headset. Not heard anything about the PS5 itself though.
 
Amazon says my PS5 should be here Thursday. I'm pretty stocked to play Demon's Souls. Along with some MM and Valhalla.

My Order updated to "Getting Ready" & will be shipped by Tuesday. Meaning Best Buy people probably won't get it on the 10th unless you pick it up in store.

I think BestBuy ships from their local warehouses so a day of transit might be enough. :)
 
Best Buy US says they will ship my Xbox order tomorrow (Still 11/8 for me posting this). Hope it's already near by for overnight arrival on the 10th.
