This is old news. As the game is capped at 30fps on base consoles, the BC won't be able to uncap it. It needs a patch from CDPR, and that is coming next year unfortunately...

Why not give an option to uncap framerate? MH world, Hitman ... many others are doing the same thing.

I believe that maybe reviewers are playing the digital version of the game that is probably a newer build than the disc version (but without day one patch)
Disc version is from October, after all
So they are probably playing a better version than those with discs

I almost don't believe it. It's crazy to see it so close. I've watched every reveal/tease of this game, it really felt at some points like it'd never release. If I'm not mistaken this is the first time we've been in single digits days remaining without a delay, right? Feels good.

a patch is not out. that's where you are confused. that PS progress bar was the guy installing the game on ps5. everyone else claims they HAVE TO play the game offline because if you go online the game asks for a patch that is not there aka the day 1 patch.
they are literally playing the version of the game CDPR decided to delay. no wonder it has issues...

sounds fun. but yes. the game was always going to have a day 1 patch. that version in the disk is the gold version from october. but they still planned to have a day 1 patch in the 19th november

I think I'll hold off until I have a sense of whether the game will run OK on my rig. (Also, vacation starts on the 15th for me; can't really put time into it before anyway)
I think I'm gonna get it on GOG, they've got good down rates in my experience. Especially since I'll steer clear of release day anyway. And I'm very OK with giving CDPR 30% more than if I would get it on Steam.

GOG says it releases the 10th, but Steam says coming on the 9th -- who do I believe?? Would rather get on GOG, just cuz, but if it means I could be playing even minutes sooner, I'll go Steam.

You can pre-load whether you bought it or not at XBL store, they let you do that since the launch of next gen. So if you buy physical copy just pop it and gtg.

I don’t understand... if no one has downloaded the day one patch yet then how can we know what improvements there are for next gen. Couldn’t the day one patch uncap the frame rate for next gen? Didn’t the devs say there would be some initial improvements for next gen followed by detailed next gen updates in 2021?
