Does anyone know if multiple saves are supported? I would like to start a game where I start a male V vs a female V without erasing progress.

Just posted this in another thread but thought i would mention it here for those who may not have a good gaming pc, or a next gen console

from Nvidia :

If you lack a GeForce RTX PC or laptop, or are away from your gaming system, you can play RTX-enhanced Cyberpunk 2077 at release via GeForce NOW, our cloud gaming service. GeForce NOW gives your low-end rig the power to stream Cyberpunk 2077 with RTX ON. Explore the streets of Night City across all your devices, streaming from the cloud. And instantly play your existing PC library from stores like Steam, UPlay and the Epic Games Store.

For a low price of $24 for 6 months, you too can be a pc master race elitist.

I mean, it’s convenient for them to “market“ this ahead of launch lol

I think I'll hold off until I have a sense of whether the game will run OK on my rig. (Also, vacation starts on the 15th for me; can't really put time into it before anyway)

I think I'm gonna get it on GOG, they've got good down rates in my experience. Especially since I'll steer clear of release day anyway. And I'm very OK with giving CDPR 30% more than if I would get it on Steam.

You know Valve changed their cut a while back right? No AAA is paying 30% these days.

Give us some non-spoiler 1st impression like how does the gunplay and melee combat feel? Framerate? Dialogue choices? Stealth?

There's a dedicated thread for leak/spoiler talk here: -

What is it about this game that triggers so many people? I watched the PS4 footage to say it looked actually “bad” graphically is ridiculous - and all these comments about how people are worried about the population density, and the gunplay, and the driving, and the story, and the slowness - like, you haven’t played the game at all. If it is not for you it is not for you I’m confused by the weird pre anything concern.

Metacritic score predictions? I'm going with 96. At least one big publication will give it a 70 to get clicks, but it'll be a bunch of perfect/near perfect scores all around.

I wasn't aware, thanks for pointing it out, good info

The weird pre anything concern shouldn't confuse you though. It's always there before a big game release. You've got the hype and you've got the concern.

As always, any sort of concern posts should end with "... and because of these concerns, I'd recommend getting it after release instead of preordering, just to have the option to not get it if it's actually a shitfest that was sold as solid gold by the überhype", but we don't live in an ideal world, so just take the concern and insert the postscriptum disclaimer as a sort of personal thinking template footer, then it's all good.

It was late last night when I posted. Here's a link to the announcement. It's been that way for a while now.

OBV still more than EGS, but Steams doing a lot more under the hood and from the user perspective, than Epic are.

I don't think it's gonna be another GTAIV-debacle where everyone drools and hands out the 97+'s, and then users downgrade it to a 79+; the metacritic score should be slightly above 90 if everything's as it seems. Could be wrong though and we're getting close to the 100; not that it matters anyway, I see metacritic as a portfolio element mostly. Games that are at least "sort of OK" are sold via PR, good store placement and broad coverage, and maybe a little bit via word-of-mouth.

Disclaimer: I love GTAIV, but it's not a 97+, and wasn't on release day either

Must've just passed me by then. Thanks again!

Yeah I mean I know it happens normally just seems outsized for this one - like a lot more nitpicking stuff going on as if the expectation is for it to be this flawless, next level thing

My prediction :

- release day and weeks : game is amazing, lots of praise, stellar reviews (mostly), lots of YT coverage, GOTY thread etc.
- a month after (max) : threads with people claiming the game is overated, disapointing, casual sh*t, SWJ BS (vocal minority)
- 5+ years later : As CDproject's next AAA game is almost done, people remember "the golden age of CDproject" when they maked Cyberpunk which was so much better than "today's crap"

You'll find there's always an Edgelord quotient to any forum. Some people are so cucked to their own shadow that they're incapable of finding any joy in life, so they have to pre-emptively shit on everything just to keep their confirmation bias up. The game might be good, game might be bad (although the impressions from the previewers seem positive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) but when you're dealing with people who are essentially unwilling to show the least bit of enthusiasm for anything.

Truth. I for one never tire of myopic nitpickers who constantly make asymmetrical comparisons between different styles of games as if they are comparable.

Yep. The Witcher 3 is NeoGAF's GOTG !

:messenger_smirking: Cyberpunk 2077 might end up being GOTG for this new gen.

This is so spot on. Having seen it happen so many times it’s a weirdly predictable trajectory

I can see it going the other way. On release day many people will be disappointed by the performance of the base consoles. Most reviewers won’t give it a perfect score due to many delays and all the hype. 9/10 would be the highest across the board, I’m willing to bet.

CDPR will release many patches to fix even more bugs etc and the game will get better over time.

Now I’m wondering if I should do this GeForce now thing? Has anyone ever used it? Does it work well? I primarily use the consoles just because I like playing on a couch with a TV but I’d like to check it out how it’s intended even if only for a little bit

I just tried geforce now for the first time yesterday and it worked great for me, but i have good internet, and have hdmi going from my pc to my tv. I have the game preordered for series x, but thinking of cancelling and going the geforce now route as well

downside is, you need the subscription if you want RTX and no queues

Any game that hits 90 on MC is a resounding success. As far as I'm concerned, every point higher it could possibly get once it hits 90 doesn't even really matter at that point. There's not much difference in quality with a 91 MC game vs a 96 MC game. Any game that reaches the top of the 90 MC score mountain, is going to be considered in the upper echelon of best games of all time.

CB77 is most likely going to crack 90. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't. It would have to have some really heavy bugs and performance issues to stop that from happening. I remember Skyrim and TW3 were absolutely riddled with bugs and issues on release.

Also whatever score it gets initially, might be irrelevant two years from now when the game has been completely patched and has had all its dlc. As good as TW3 was on release, it's quality has been magnified since then.

Already preordered the digital version for my PS4 Pro and I took off from work on the 10th and 11th. Hype is slowly reaching critical mass and I’ve stayed away from most footage. The clips I have seen look like this game will be right up there with RDR2 in terms of density, detail and a true sense of place, like you’re really going to feel transported into another world as soon as you hit that start button. Probably gonna roll with the “growing up on the streets” background.

The Ree review thread is going to be absolutely bonkers if this really hits 90+ on MC 🤣
