Even No Man Sky did not get booted from the store. Let that sink in guys..

i can bet your ass consumer rights in europe gave some interesting phone calls to SONY HQ
No Man Sky was unplayable or just not loved to all promises the dev made?

I never saw a game launching like the state of Cuberpunk 2077... it set a new low bar level.

Looks like the servers couldn't cope with the large player base.

That's in stark contrast to the laundry list of issues facing Cyberpunk which range from consistent framerates in the teens on base consoles, frequent game crashes, to numerous open world bugs and gamebreaking jank that make the game literally unplayable.

No, game was unplayable for months. Promised superior social connectivity and superior online racing.

hm, not what i've seen. I'm sure whenever he responds, if he does it'll be a decent counter point.

but you have to actually argue asswhoopin don't be all dodgy and weird.

i feel like seeing a good fight.

You made your account last month

You weren't around to see all his insider nonsense. He gave us some good laughs I can assure you of that

They saved Bethesda after Fallout 76. And that game is much worse than CP2077.

CP2077 is a good game ruined by bad greedy management decisions. Those devs are still talented
LMAO

Friend, it is WAAAAAY too premature to say they "saved" Bethesda from ANYTHING.

Bear in mind, they've had their fair share of First Party releases turn out to be badly-reviewed messes. Bethesda being there is by NO means a guarantee of a sudden spike in quality. The talent wasn't the issue in those cases either.

Sad to see CDPR fuck up this release so bad, I pre ordered it on GoG god knows when but I'm yet to play it, probably won't until it's patched, only played for 2h until I said "Fuck it, it's not a sequel to a bellowed game, I can wait."
I guess it's time for them to realize that they can't do botched releases anymore with an "Enhanced edition" a year later that basically fixes everything. Crazy that this is basically the 4th time they're gonna pull this.

So strange. I feel so disconnected from the controversy. On PC I have really been enjoying the game. But it looks like an entirely different reality for console users.

Been really fun on my PS5. Not seeing any significant issues through the first act, has been quite good in terms of performance and visuals. I'm sure PC looks much better, but I've been enjoying it a lot.

I have seen 3-4 crashes though.

Whatever overeactions people had with W3 is unequivocal to the scum move CDPR pulled with this game

They sold a broken product and tried their best to hide it. That is top tier scum practice. No, not even the big pubs tried to pull that bs

Whatever dude. The company is top tier and make some of the best games to ever grace any platform. They are #1 in graphics tech and their art team is some of the most talented of any developer out there..

Give them some slack and let them fix the port.

That was definitely not expected; but after CDPR tried to lay the refund blame on Sony, it's totally fucking warranted. Still fucking CRAZY.

SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.

Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.

Hory shit.

CDPR really fucked up.

This reminds me of that time I found out a girl I really liked was talking shit behind my back.

*cue Family Guy flashback*

Because everyone deserves a chance? Especially companies that won Game of the decade on NeoGAF? We've had companies hide shit from consumers all the time. it's nothing new.

It doesn't matter the scale of how bad the port is. People cried like it was the end of the world just the same. I was in those silly threads about the bog slow down and people crucifying CDPR then. Not to mention all the other AAA companies like Dice, Ubisoft, and EA... there just seems to be this overreaction to buggy state games from AAA titles. They don't get anywhere near the forgiveness as 1st party titles or Indie games.
So you are ok with a company straight up lying to you? And instead of apologizing they keep lying. They said they didn't know what state the game was on last gen consoles, suuuuure, that's why you did everything in your power to not show those versions.

Would it even make sense financially to develop for PC first and release on console a year+ later?

Hindsight is 20/20 but I think CDPR would benefit from that with their future titles.

It has been running perfectly fine on my PS5. I know there are those having issues, but I have had zero crashes in 15 hours of gameplay. Bugs sure, yank sure, weird shit floating in mid-air sure...but the gameplay and the missions/quests and visuals have been great.

No Man's Sky was complete shit show...could not even play it. This I can play and have been enjoying a lot. Sony should just put a GIANT Warning on the PSN Store about issues and advise consumers to purchase at their own risk...pulling from the Store completely is too harsh imho. I have a friend that just got his Digital PS5 and the one game he wanted is now not available to him in no capacity. That kind of sucks.

man... i really feel sad for Mike Pondsmith. He gave cdpr his life work after years of declining countless licensing rights. Yeah, they'll patch it and make DLC next year, but first impression counts and it's not here right now.

Yes, I can. CDPR isn't the only company that has misled consumers.

What I'm saying is that you are showing way too much hate for the company that screwed up by releasing the unfinished console versions. Surely they will fix it just like they did W3 (yea, I remember all the whining back then too). Instead of crucifying them to no end, why not give them a chance to fix their mistake before putting final judgement on them. Their rep being ruined forever? Really??
That thankfully isn't how the 200year old(IIRC) sale of goods act works.

The buyer isn't buying half now at full price, with half later on an open-ended promise. It is quality goods for stated price.

As a silver lining, provided the publisher either gets bought up or can ride out the financial hit to turn the console versions around quickly then maybe this will be the long overdue death of the anti-physical-disc day one patch that has blighted physical game ownership since the original Xbox. Even if they fix the game, it still requires people to have excellent broadband to download tens of gigabytes of data.

I

Not quite the same, I played no man's sky at launch I even get the platinum, and while lots of things that they promised didn't show up in the game, and certainly didn't live to the hype. it wasn't a bug fest. I remember a very clean experience.

I would say they are equally wrong. No man's sky is the first time that I see a developer blatantly ying to every person that dared to give him a voice.

The good devs that Microsoft has releases good games. The bad devs that Microsoft has releases bad games. Thats a talent problem

But Bethesda (like CDPR) don't have a talent problem, they have a management problem. Microsoft can solve a management problem

Certification doesn't prevent games like this launching. Certification just means it ticks the boxes of not bricking consoles, has trophies/achievements, works with controllers, etc.

You keep stating that over and over and over again. But with all those crashes, 20+ for a hell of a lot of PS4 and XB One players, their systems will eventually brick!

I wonder if I can pick this game up for bargain bin prices on PS4 in the next few weeks and get the free next gen upgrade in about a year

Well you talking about a game that doesn't exists on PS5... you are playing a shit BC version.

I just checked No Man Sky was never unplayable.

Maybe Sony doesn't mind & has their own AAA Cyberpunk game coming then Microsoft just get exclusivity for CP2077 free.

Sony should have picked up on this and not allowed the game to release. They do their own QA before they release patches/DLC/games onto their store so I'm surprised it wasn't caught earlier how bad of a state the game was in. CDPR also is pathetic in releasing this game in this state after so many delays clearly this thing needed to be in the oven for another 6 to 12 months.

This. But, Sony were happy to accept it in its current state. They could've said no and should've said no but they didn't because they wanted a slice of that pie. I agree it shouldn't have been released on last gen systems or at least and something on the box saying "Xbox One X/PS4 Pro Only".

Anyway, I'm not fussed as it doesn't affect me, I'm happy with what I have played on my Series X.

I dont know why people are even discussing if "is the game that bad on the PS4?" or "but that other game were worse!"

Doesnt matter if games X or Y were worse. MORE people are playing Cyberpunk and more people are unsatisfied with it than they were with those games. Period.

Do you really thing that casual players would be returning the game if it wasnt that bad? They've played Fallout 4 and many others.

From my experience, its worse than any other game that Ive played on my PS4. No Man's Sky lacked content, but ran ok. Fallout 76 lacked content, but ran ok (at least at 1080p). Anthem lacked content, but again, looked and ran ok.

Cyberpunk is a different beast. It looks like a Wii game and runs at 20 fps when its at its best.

They didnt, and that was the cause for the delay

CDPR promissed to fix all those problems with a Day 1 patch, something that usualy happens with big releases. It wasnt alien, Sony and MS know about it.
And those Day 1 patches usualy really solve the problems because any developer with any sense of reason wouldnt like to launch their games at this state. But here we are.

i wouldn't be so confident, besides their next game is years away and their reputation is in ruins they have a lot of work to do to fix their image, the damage is done
