Yep same.

I think the worst thing is people who are glued to the news about the latest cases in the country.

It becomes so boring to listen to and you can tell it's effecting people's mental health.

Escapism people!

I remember this meme from almost a year ago. It hasn't gotten any less cringe since then and that could be the shittiest version of it I've seen. Congratulations.

There are people who still act like they can't even go out at all. They treat going out to grab a burrito as some monumental event.

It's like, just go the fuck out. You're not going to die. Be careful. Act responsibly. Live.

Because in many cases the number of cases affect their livelihood e.g. people working in restaurant industry, hospitality, people having to take care of kids due to schools being closed.

Cool for you BRUH you don't have these problems.

Yeah but horrible bosses think staying at home because of getting the virus or a government mandated home stay is a privilege.

People who complain about having to work from home because they're getting cabin fever (or whatever) are the worst. I wish I could sit at home in my pajamas, sip coffee while occasionally checking my computer and playing video games between emails. So much time saved. So much less anxiety without having to go out into the world every day.

Folks gotta count their blessings.

Yeah I wish I can work the way I like without office politics bullshit which is the main problem and not the actual hard work.

Who would told me that staying home playing games while burning though my stash of weed would make me a responsible adult. It has worked wonders on my backlog, and made me discover new franchises like SMT and Yakuza. Gotta say that gaming wise 2020 has been great for me. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Fuck 'em. They probably are those kind of people that stay overtime at the office just to not go back to their home and avoid their families for a little longer.

Working from home is the best, specially if you can make your own schededule and work at your own pace. I work at IT, and I've never been so relaxed and happy while also putting out a lot of work, and I even don't mind putting some overtime here and there sometimes. I feel more productive than ever, and also happier. Working from is the way to go, let's just hope that the crappy bosses realize that sooner than later.

It's not as simple. Right now I don't mind working from home (in fact, I'm quite enjoying it) because I like my job and my boss. But I remember one time (this was before the pandemic) where I had to work from home at a job I hated, including my boss who used to talk to me constantly, even after work.

When you hate your job it can be harder to disconnect and think of something else when you're working from home. I remember looking at my computer during that time and being constantly exhausted from work because it was harder for me to think of anything else.

Yeah I can agree, a shitty job is shitty even from home. Glad to read you found something better tho. :)

Confirmed OP is doing psy-ops to make us feel like we should just give up our jobs and play games for the rest of our lives which will fulfill their master plan to cause the collapse of society.

Well you haven't fulled me OP!

I just burned ALL my gaming related stuff, haha I won't be taken in by your nonsense :smdhwcp:

It's not even just gaming it's like a huge portion of the population have no fucking hobbies or interests at all besides tv. It's my hobbies that keep me sane, i can literally stay indoors for months at a time if needed and never get bored.

Same. I was turning into more and more of a homebody even before this hit last March. All it's done is make me realize I just don't like or need people outside of my small friend and family group and am happiest embracing that. I prefer working from home, prefer not wasting time and money eating and drinking out so much, haven't really missed concerts, sporting events etc. like I thought. Not being able to travel other than driving trips has been a bummer, especially as our big trip last year to Europe in March got canceled when this hit.

But in general, I'm way happier having way fewer forced social interactions with co-workers and random people in public and boredom isn't a problem as my hobbies have always been indoor focused stuff—games movies/shows, reading. I'm also not super high risk, so I've been back to my gym (small and requires masks, enforces distancing and cleaning etc.) since June which helps with getting out some and staying fit.

I'm so thankful that I'm a video game junkie. It is really helping to occupy, entertain and distract me from how shit PlagueWorld is today.

I do that since Mai 2020 and after almost a year its not that good anymore. I have to quit gaming now for the moment to get healthy again. Due to gaming i jzst stay up until 5 am and sleep until 1 pm or i dont sleep at all.

If iam not playing i just try to find a job and get out of here again.

ordinances in place means most abide masks indoors, be it the grocer or doctor, bar

Yep. A lot of people's lives revolved around 8+ hours in the office, 1-2 hours commuting there and going out for dinner, drinks, movies etc. a couple times a week.

Quarantine and limited social options was going to hit those folks way harder than those of us who were already more homebodies spending time on indoor hobbies and glad to have even more time to devote to them and less energy draining forced socializatons.

Yeah the whole thing has been a complete shitshow and I'll be happy to see the back of it eventually, but at the same time, I have enjoyed the memes: -

Oooh, I miss going to the pub and get shit faced. Or going to restaurants. But I discovered that you can watch movies in the the bathtub while getting drunk and baked at the same time.

I still go out, but I definitely don't spend any longer than I have to. Mixture of being introverted, socially anxious and not wanting Covid. I used to get take-out a lot more, but not very often since the pandemic. I don't know about others, but I get breathless and I can get panicky if I'm around too many people. Especially with mask wearing now. It's a horrible feeling.

I was hoping to catch up on my gaming backlog, but nope. We've got Covid in our country for over a year now and we still don't have any quarantines. :messenger_frowning_

Jokes aside, I'm happy I still got a fulltime job.

Honestly, almost any place in my town is up to visit :D
This meme is actual to the time when it all began as I didn't like to go out and I'm gf likes. When asked me to go from my pc and have a walk I just told her: WTF turn on the news and read you want to die or what? That was a perfect time but after a half year of online working and playing during the whole spare time, it became boring..
