Kind of like their banned persona list. It exists in the collective hive mind but nothing really written down. I was actually going to kick up some shit and demands like some petulant child for a detailed list with grievances and evidence, just to give the moderators something to do on their sleepless unpaid nights. I would try to gain support by framing it as some just cause to launch further campaigns against innocent people while everyone outside of the bubble watches on in amusement or horror.

Not so long ago, internet forums were a place to escape to, free from the restrictions of real life. Where ideas could be expressed openly without fear.
I doubt they are aware of a long game, I think this is just the natural precession of human nature. Subjective enforcement of policy almost always leads towards these patterns...people seizing control when opportunities present themselves.

Devs and industry people were abused on GAF too in the past. People can get really nasty about their favorite gaming machine, and the attitude hasn't really changed these last years.
I think it'd be best for industry people to not engage on forums. Trying to reason with fanboys is useless, and whatever you write in the internet these days can have serious repercussions. Pretty much any media company (and most others as well) have strict policies about posting on forums/social media in any sort of "official" capacity (ie, saying "I work for XYZ Company and I'll tell you all the things that are wrong" or "ABC Company makes things harder for my company XYZ"). The guy might be getting fired over trying to get woke points with a bunch of morons who will screech and cancel at any perceived wrongs. It's why most of the "verified" people left on Era are from indie games and review blogs most people have never heard of.
