Huh, he's died soo many times on social media over the years that it kinda feels "normal" and not that much of a shock.
 
Whatever you thought of him, a woman has lost her partner of 70-odd years. I'm no royalist but I feel some sympathy for the Queen. Imagine losing someone you've been with for that long, regardless of who they are.
 
I don't believe there should be a royal family at all, but I'm also not from the UK. Rip to him though. Damn ripe age. If I can get there I'll have to triple the life I've already lived. Crazy thinking about it.

Xenophobic attitudes are nothing to be proud about - England is a product of its own success. Colonising other countries and spreading your language will mean people from the commonwealth will eventually migrate over.

Absolutely correct. I myself was fighting a valiant rear guard action outside Waitrose this morning against a horde of rampaging Sikhs. My wife held down the fort against a non stop wave of Indonesians with her sharpened Union Jack flag pole.

Not that I'm a fan of the royals in general, you've got to feel a little sorry for anyone losing a husband after 70 years of marriage. Even though he's largely known for his foot-in-mouth moments he was a pretty decent bloke apparently...

Our head of state has just lost the most important thing in her life. He wasn't an evil man. He was flawed, certainly. Priviledged, no doubt. Wrong in some of his opinions, absolutely. But the venom with which you take pleasure in his death speaks far more about your inadequacies than it does his.

People have been banned for it. People who've even actually meant something to the forum. The axe for this type of shit.

The royal family hasn't been terrible for the UK or England has it?

During the mid 1600s, England got rid of the monarchy and it's place we had a republic ruled by a military dictator. It was a disaster and the monarchy was brought back, which gave us the constitutional monarchy we have today.

I'm a Royalist because I believe our system works well and I like having a Royal family. It's part of my culture and national heritage. If that makes me a simp then so be it.

If you don't like the Royals then that's fine, but show a little class rather than childishly celebrating the man's death.
