With Returnal releasing around the corner how do you think it ends up?

I think it will get average reviews..the more they show the worse it looks

I was hoping it was a story driven sci fi action game but it looks like a bullet sponge cross between the division and lost planet

maybe it will surprise me

60-70, unfortunately.

Not enough [varied] content for the price tag. 75 euros is still insane to me.

I went for 80 to 90 but 70 to 90 is a stupidly safe bet these days.

I feel the 7 to 10 scale has now become the 7 to 9 scale.

Mid 90s games is now exclusive to games with over hyped stories where you shoot dudes with guns and barely evolve the gameplay!

Better not be under 84 otherwise Sony might cancel the project and not allow a sequel. 🤭

Personally I'm expecting it to be a solid 83-85

I expect between 80-90. Probably great niche game, fun gameplay, great controls, but obviously repetitive action. "The Dark Souls game of the shoot'em up".

75ish,

Great gameplay, limited story and a great start to a new franchise. Most would complain about there being no co op or MP.

Also will be some strange complaints that its not got customisation, "I wanted to make her have a pink space suit with green lightening tattoos on her face".

Will be a good game not amazing.

High 70s - low 80s. Would also not be surprised to see the "not enough content for the pricetag"-complaint flair up rather often in the reviews.

This game will bomb no doubt. Late April, early May is actually quite packed.

The MC score won't go above the 70's. I don't see how. I wonder if Housemarque is going to be ordered to do small games again, or worse.

It's impossible to score a game without spending at least a few hours with it. That said, if I had to guess, I'd say high 70's low 80's, only because it is Housemarque's first foray into a story driven game. I still expect the gameplay to be great though. My concern is that the story may get in the way of the arcade-like sensibilities that they are renowned for. Although, I would be very happy to be proven wrong!

I was initially thinking of ~85, but the fact that it seems review copies are going out very late (unusual for Sony) makes me worried it's going to be 70-80 instead. I'd be very, very happy to be proven wrong, however.

I have shitty memory, what games comes out in late april\early may?!

Edit: except for our lord and saviour biomutant of course.

I doubt reviewers care about the price. I'll say low 80's and it will depend of how easy/frustrating the game is considering it's a mix of bullet hell/roguelite.

Nah mate 70 to 90 is practically guaranteed! The videogame press are soooooooo predictable (And therefore almost useless!)

Check out Housemarque trackrecord!

I will bet a massively embarrassing avatar of your choice!

Meta 80 - 90

From the people that matter easy 90+.
I see this game being considered a really good game for what it is but some reviewers will "hate" it for reasons.

Nier is this week. Then Returnal next week. RE8 is May 7, the Mass Effect trilogy is May 14, and BioMutant is the 25th

Then Ratchet in early June.

Games are coming.

I feel that many reviewers will be looking at this game through "it costs 80€" optics and this will bring the final score down..
...so I expect scores between 72-77

A better poll would be asking what percentage of reviews will mention the games price. That's where we're headed on this game unfortunately
