You just witnessed free roam mode. Instead of just being a pretty looking world with nothing to do but drive around aimlessly, has little mini challenges like this you can activate once found. It reminds me of the mini challenges in the Sonic x Shadow "overworld" map and it has a similar unlockables/secrets function. It's not like that's the "main game".

I know, I know, it's in jest, let it go already, etc. and so forth. I'll see myself out of the thread.

Mario Kart games generally rate in the mid-high 80s, and that's where I think World will land. I think some people will fall in love with the open world aspect, and some will hate it.

I dont agree with the pricing, but I think it would be between 95-100. If it will deserved or not, its another topic, but I dont think it will be a bad game.
