Personally I think Ghost of Tsushima II would be much better but to be fair the last Infamous wasn't the greatest and that probably contributed the most to its sales
The last infamous was rushed for the launch window, the first 2 were better except the graphics.

Give the IP to someone of your other sony studios i say...

I really enjoyed Infamous 1. Two and second son had better graphics but lack of style and way worse story. They should let the IP rest for a litle longer and then make a reboot.

I suppose Sucker Punch could do inFamous too with studios supposedly expanding to work on more than one game at a time.
To be honest though, if there was a new inFamous I'm not sure that having a single studio work on two open world games at the same time and using the same engine is really the best thing to do. I'd much rather see a different studio give their take on the franchise.
My doubt with this is that Sony now own the Sunset Overdrive franchise so I'm not so sure that inFamous is really the better way forward for something like this. I know they're not the same games but they certainly do share quite a few things. Insomniac is likely far too busy even though they're multi team now but possibly having people from Insomniac guiding the project would be enough.

We can hazard a guess at what will defo be shown on Thursday, but if I was being selfish, what would I like to see? Nothing specific, but something arcade-like and fun, but with dazzling visuals. Maybe a new Ridge Racer?
Ridge Racer 8 or a 4K collection of the whole series Rave Raver included. I'd literally wet myself if any of that happened.

The last showcase was 47 minutes long, showed 12 games, introduced the PS+ Collection, and announced the pricing for PS5. This will probably be roughly the same length. Depending on the length of time they spend on average for each game they could show 20 or more titles but I'm going to assume that some games will get more than 2 minutes so I'd say maybe 15 tops. That also assumes they stick with the format they did last year and don't waste any time with announcements that aren't strictly upcoming titles. My prediction is:

God of War: Ragnarok
Horizon II: Forbidden West
Gran Turismo 7
Alan Wake Remastered
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Deathloop (one last fucking time)
Call of Duty: Vanguard
London Studio's new game
Abandoned
Unannounced Capcom title
Forspoken
Firewalk's new multiplayer IP
The Uncharted Collection
The Last of Us: Factions 2 (or whatever they end up calling it)
Bluepoint acquisition (and a tease of their next project)

I think very close but I would take out one first party game or abandoned and add gta v

Here's what I expect:

- Gran Turismo 7 gameplay/release date trailer.
- Call of Duty Vanguard gameplay trailer.
- a FINAL Kena Bridge of Spirits gameplay trailer showing more to the story.
- Final Fantasy XVI gameplay/release date trailer.
- a FINAL Deathloop trailer (because its releasing soon).
- Forspoken vertical slice with Summer 2022 release date.
- Naughty Dogs new Factions game reveal gameplay trailer.
- Teaser for From Software exclusive.
- Bluepoint acquisition announcement and another remake reveal.
- Silent Hill teaser
- God of War Ragnarok vertical slice with Holiday 2022 release date.

I'd love to see Bloodborne being featured, I don't really care how they choose to deal with it but I would just love them to sort out the issues somehow. I'm fine with something as simple as a 4K/60 update or a Bluepoint Games style remake.
When I say simple, I'm not suggesting that it's a simple thing to do. The engine is pretty old Japanese technology and From have never really been known for modern ways of making games so it's not really surprising that everything is locked to the refresh rate and fixing one thing will likely break another five.

I've got low expectations. FFXVI was supposed to be not ready for TGS but who knows. GT7 might be shown, along with release date perhaps. Its a pushed back game like Horizon 2. Forspoken could be, it was supposed to be out before the end of the fiscal year I think.

God of War 2 probably. Might be what Jaffe was hinting at. He did say new game but in reality we've seen nothing of GoW 2 yet and it might blow us away.

i don't expect Bloodborne, Silent Hill or any of that fanfic stuff.

They already shown these ones too much. If they are going to be in the show, I'd include them only in the typical sizzle reel or in the pre-show.

- Silent Hill teaser
It won't happen, they recently signed with Bloober, so they won't have even a pre-alpha to show and the game must be years away from release.

- God of War Ragnarok vertical slice with Holiday 2022 release date.
It was planned for 2021, I think it will be released H1 2022.

Maybe it won't be in the TGS because it will be here.

I just realised Sony have 4 IPs that are multiplayer focused

Devition - developers of Black Ops
Firewalk Studios - ex Bungie Devs
Naughty Dog - Making Factions
Guerilla Games 2nd Studio - rumoured to be multiplayer, a Dev from Rainbow Six

And then you have
Arrowhead Games - previously made a Sony published multiplayer game

Surely atleast one of this will be shown in this event. I personally am not excited for multiplayer game but I'm sure Sony have one of these ready to show.

I think Sony should challenge Nintendo in some areas, mainly platformers & brawlers

A solid original IP from Team Asobi & Playstation All-Star battle royale II done properly
In platformers they have Ratchet, Astro or Sackboy/LBP. Good stuff but obviously not in the level to compete face to face with Mario. In fact, Sony outsold Mario in Japan with a platformer: Knack.

I think it's very difficult, maybe impossible to make a PS All-Star done properly. They are rumored to acquire ARC System Works, so maybe if ends being true they could do something like that: something like a Dragon Ball FighterZ with PS characters.

Add1-3 solid Multiplayer exclusive IP's to take some of that player base from Overwatch, Valorant, CS, Destiny, COD, Fortnite, etc etc
They are making the TLOU multiplayer game, another game with multiplayer (not sure if MP focused) in Guerrilla and the multiplayer games from Haven, Deviation and Firewalk. So maybe at least one of them ends being a very successful multiplayer shooter. But not sure if they can compete with these giants with an enclusive game because being exclusive they are limited to a smaller install base.

I think this tweet is finally going to make sense…

I can see Metal Gear Solid remake rumour happening. But what I'd like is a Demons Souls 2 or Demons Souls Standalone Expansion working along side From Software.

As for Castlevania, Konami have to be one of the dumbest publishers. They have a Netflix show spanning 3 seasons thats really successful. Indie games have had countless successful Metroidvanias. To fund a new 2D Castlevania wouldn't even be that expensive in comparison to a full 3D AAA game. It's such a missed opportunity I'm struggling to know why they still haven't don't one yet. They can easily outsource it to a small indie team. Just look at the success of Sonic Mania and Streets of Rage 4.

My votes goes to the Phone Ranger. A hero spying on the us president, blackmailing him and preventing a 3rd WW. Uniting everyone at the end by giving them foldable sangsung phones ... what a hero!

Can't think of any Marvel character besides Spiderman that would have the same insane reach and also making an interesting game out of it.
Dr Strange maybe? With new upcoming movies
Venom trying to push Sony's Spiderverse?
Wolverine, classic but a little saturated IMO

Maybe it's just Spiderman 2 after all :messenger_grinning_sweat:

One of those 2 games was Demon's Souls. So if BP wasn't trolling there is another one left. They put all kinds of (Sony) franchises in that tweet (Syphon, Twisted metal, CV, MGS, Resistance etc).

It could line up with the Resistance remastered rumors. But that would be kind of a dud even though I like R1. After all there is also MGS and Silent in that tweet.

A new castlevania game.

The time is now for the MGS Remake. Its truly the only thing I want. I already know God of War, Horizon, and GT7 will prob be there, but the gaming industry without MGS is awful.

Bluepoint would become a top tier studio very quick with remakes of Syphon Filter, Silent Hill, Resistance, Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania. I wonder which comes 1st

The Demon Souls remake already made them great IMO and the Shadow of the Colossus remake

Ah, I know :)

Marvel IP - Spider-Man
1P = Single player

So, a single player Spider-Man game! :)

Wait, wait, wait ... that's wrong.

Spider-Man is a Sony IP, so it's probably .... Black Widow! :D

(that would actually be cool)

A single player Spiderman game wouldn't be an insane rumour, that's just an anticipated sequel to an existing game.

Okay, my dreams:

Silent Hills - Kojima Productions
Metal Gear Solid - Bluepoint games
Castlevania - From Software

I would be happy with just Silent Hills, but I just dream of all the reactions to such an announcement. And no, hard pass on Silent Hill from blooper team, even if Silent Hill is my favorite franchise, a Silent Hill game from a non Japanese developer is no real Silent Hill game.

damn never thought about a From Software Castlevania...that would be sick, but sadly I think it's too much of a stretch

The Konami we have today is sad to say the least. The wealth of IP being wasted that can be developed by not only small studios but larger ones too, the potential is massive.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if one the console makers acquired these IPs, give them a chance to shine again.

More Marvel stuff? Meh. I don't see how that would 'melt' the internet after we've already gotten Spiderman and Avenger games. I guess an Ironman game from Insomniac could be decent, though I'd be very surprised if they aren't working on another Spiderman game.

Firewalk Studios formed in 2018. They've been playing their game in house for the last year.

We got a shot fellow multiplayer bros!

InFamous Second Son was pretty good! I don't see how it was any worse then the previous entries anyway. If you don't like the originals then I can understand not liking the latest.

Lol Bloober have already denied this.

If it's Marvel related I'm going to go with Blade. I think that has enough to be a Holy shit moment. It surely has to be above and beyond the characters the film have made mainstream now.
